spotted a new FJ cruiser in cochin

spotted a new yellow and creamy while combo coloured LHD Fj cruiser , that was on the way to my office , spotted at the sea port airport road , even though it was a LHD the driver was ripping the FJ like any thing , it was having Arab number plates , Fj looks weired in yellow and off white combo

I think , thats just a guess , its on CAR net too

The reason why I gussed is , i saw this vehicle parked , in the place where the old bimme z3 (LHD) was parked , that was at vazhakkala.

So people from ernakulam get ready with your cameras.

The yellow FJ is some where around cochin

I missed to snap it

> the other FJ cruiser(the blue one) is still in vatanappilly (thrissur) running with the arab number plates

Hey,

The car is in quite a maintainted condition. Specially the interiors. Are they stock or they have been re done? The condition seems very good. Hows the driving experience been so far?

Thanks, by Almighty's grace it's the third Merc - 300GD (W460), 220D (W114) & now 190D (W201). I also had a W210 E-class & Range Rover which I sold.

Thanks. I bought it seeing its orginality & stock condition. Infact I was about to go for a W124 for my Dad. But when my friend & brocker brought this 190D & told me to use it for a day. Since I was looking for my Dad, I took him for a drive & when he drove it he liked it so much mainly because of its size & auto-transmision. He find it very convinient for his city drive & being the car so well kept I had the deal.

It's fully orginal except the a/c vent which my friend has guaranteed me to get the orginal one.

Hanny how was your experience with the W210? Was it diesel?

I suppose the 190D is a 2 liter diesel? How does she pull/accelerate?

Ya buddy my W210 was diesel E250 D. It very comfortable as it had soft suspension. I bought it from Mumbai & drove down to Calicut within 21 hours (1200km) considering the poor road from Kharwar to Magalore (around 300km) & I felt very fresh & relaxed. But it was a bit sluggish on torque as it used the same diesel mill from W124 E250 D. I've also taken it somany times to Bangalore. I sold it when I started a new housing project of my own & since we don't depend on bank or bank loans I had to sell it. Do you use a W210?

Ofcource my 190D is 2 liter, for 2.5 there will a labling on the right side of the boot lid as '2.5'. She is quite good in accelaration for the engine of that size. Compared to a friend's E 200D (W124) of same engine, 190D feel much better in the pick-up.

The X6 you spotted is one of the first three delivered in the state. Two of them is white (1-Kannur & 1-Trivandrum) & the other one is red.

, but some years back, I bought a W210 E250D with 45,000km on the clock. Kept it for some time, and when the W210 220CDI came by, found out that it was not as comfortable as the first "round light" (as it was called in Kerala), and decided against upgrading, finally selling it when it crossed 1,00,000+ km. Still miss the comfort of its suspension, though poor ground clearance was an issue sometimes.

Many people in Kerala kept a preference for the W210 E250D for years, even when the W211 E220CDI was launched!
