It's quite disappointing when the second owners wrap/repaint their non-red Ferraris to red!

So the Gentian Blue Metallic 992 Porsche 911 Carrera S was Porsche India’s launch car?

Sold off to Hyderabad. The car now has an iPE exhaust system, a carbon fiber Speciale style hood and a big wing.

The Calicut 458 sold to Hyderabad couple of months back, even its garage mate Rolls Royce Ghost also sold to Kolhapur few years back. As we all know, the Calicut ex. owner was a true petrolhead and the pioneer to kick start Kerala’s Supercar ownership scene by introducing State’s first Lamborghini Gallardo LP520-2 back in 2011 followed by North Kerala’s first Rolls Royce Ghost in 2012 and State first Ferrari 458 in 2013. Really wish he bang back with another State first The Lamborghini Aventador.

Apart the Ferrari 458, of late Kerala lost few good exotics to Hyderabad. The State first Huracan LP580-2 Spyder & State first Nissan GTR

Although he had a very delicious collection of exotic cars and a few superbikes, his tastefully done up Y60 Nissan Patrol with the Ironman liftkit, ARB bumpers, winch, snorkel, rhino rack, awning, Mickey Thompson tyres, steel wheels and the stuff has had me drooling since forever.

I had saved this one pic of this collection long back and have always admired the wonderful mix of cars in the garage. Due credits to the original photographer.

Re: Supercars & Imports : Kerala

(potentially off-topic)

Why are people selling their 458s? 458's are appreciating in the global market as more and more people figure out that they're the last Ferraris with the naturally aspirated V8. The F136 is one of the last great NA V8s. Also, less RHD models were built than LHD models (afaik).

(To make things sweeter, European Auto Group is coming out with the manual swap for the 458. That should make it even more irresistible.)

The 458 can definitely keep up with the 488 in the twisties and there ain't enough roads in India for the Vmax runs. So why sell?

To answer it in short, cars generally don't appreciate in India, no matter how significant or rare. I still remember the Murcie SV, when it was on sale, it was going for peanuts despite being such a significant and rare car worldwide as only about 186 cars were made. That said, the 458 has held good value in the Indian used car market, and I am sure that was a factor in the owner(s) letting go off the cars.

Are any of those Indian Murcielagos, manual cars? Because the e-gear ones aren't that valuable, owing to the horrible transmission. Only the manual Murcielagos have kept their value/depreciated less.
