Either the Mondial has found a new owner or the present owner has realised the true value of the car. Seen the car today and it looked amazing.

Just to bring to your attention, the Ferrari Mondial is listed at number 48 in the "World's 50 worst cars ever built" by Jeremy Clarkson. Its just plain bad. Definately the WORST ferrari ever built. One of the Top Gear magazines I have says that you can buy a used Mondial for the price of a new Ford Focus! And the running cost is equal to that amount every year!!

I think the worst Ferrari built was the 308 GT4. It was designed by Bertone, and it was even uglier than this one.

Ferrari Mondial

Pics from really long ago. The dawn of the camera phone era, if you must know! Which sort of explains the quality. Spotted at Bandra, Waterfield Road.

Flyingspur this should go in the ferrari's in India thread.
This car stood with me for quite a long time and was not in the best of health thats why i did not buy it. It had engine trouble. It is a 2+2 and i also see the ferrari logos from the wheels have gone missing.

The owner also owned a Maserrati (forgot the model).

There was a thread on this one started in 2004 - .

You can see how horribly it has been maintained.

Moral i would not use the word maintained even in the bad sense. It had come to us with a layer of dust over it and a jerry can for the fuel tank. The engine was leaking oil. Both the cars were being sold by a Parsee Gentleman and were lying in the open in Breach Candy and not looked after. The first owner had taken care of them and then gone bust.

Ridiculous! People pay more than double the price to import and own such cars in India and then don't even maintain them the way they should be. It's high time companies manufacturing and selling limited amount of exotics put down certain ownership terms and conditions. Also I just hate to see exotics manufactured in very small numbers being totalled in movies-'Batman-The Dark Knight' for example had a scene where an LP640 was totaled!

as far as i know and can guess the exotic cars that they use to crash and burn etc etc in movies are not the real cars but just shells mounted on another chass.

in themovie transformers the camaro was not the original but just a shell.

anyways the ferrari is seriously sad but a ferrari is a ferrari
