come to hyd,
i will show you clks working as weekend taxis

you can use the vehcile(yours) 5 days a week, but on sat and sun u have to give the vehicle to prospective renters,
get a cool 20k for those two days, while the rent a car guy, takes 5k, the renter is charged 25k per weekend

the rate is worked out for any car be it a skoda or a merc

dad though of buying a clk and giving out like this, he said i could use it on the weekdays and the weekends it would go to the rent a car guy
but the though of buying a merc and renting it out was tooo
bad to think abt also!!

no they have std plates, not tourist taxi plates,

another new thing started in hyd:vehicle timeshare, dad got this offer yest:

pay 2 lacs: and montly 8k , u can use a skoda diesel for 10 days a month/120 days a year, u need to sign a contarct for 5 years, at the end of 5 years, u get your 2 lacs back, and a option of buying the same skoda for the market rate!

lol!! dad's reaction was instead of paying u i would rather buy a new car!
doing the math, in that five year period we will be paying him close to 5 lacs
since the car will be shared with two other people, he is getting the money of the car back in the five year period(15 lac), and sells the vehcile as the profit!!!(say abt 4 lacs in the future senario)

the 2 lac deposit was not taken into the calculation

if the car is involved in an accident the , the person who has the car in that week will have to pay, the serviving costs will have be divided into 1/4(he paying 1/4) and the rest between the three owners

These are our distant relatives ..... and we have maintained our distance ever since lol......now i hope i knew them personally. Damnit!!

Cheers!!!

Been long since I seen this car. Still in great shape. Thought it was a S55 AMG when I seen it from the back at a distance, but then it became clear when I got closer. Met the CL55AMG again.

Note: This may not be the same one as Post #1. Registration does not match, or maybe registration has been changed.

Well it was lying with DRI for quite a while. Finally they paid the duty difference and released the car and now sold it to Choksi.

Not a surprise since the car had been using fake registration. It now sports a VIP registration.

Many people do this. The brand new SL500 (ligh blue) I saw the other day also had a 1995 registration.

Now, like in Europe, and more so in the UK, one can transfer their old registration no to their new car!! at a price/premium! and why not?
Private no. plates are officially sold at a premium! like--BOSS-55, or, DESI-BOSS[I've seen these plates on UK cars!]
And, Whenever dealers bring in cars, they take a temporary registration, and they have a validity of one to two months to use no. Then when they find a buyer they do a permanent registration, and the no changes, and it could be a Special no, depending on the premium one is ready to pay!
I'm looking at buying this CL55, if alls well.
