Hi guys,

I was at office yesterday. Came down to have sandwiches across the road. With great difficulty after managing to dodge the motorcycles and ricks, i managed to cross the road. And the moment i reach the other side, a dark blue car just honked and whizzed past me. I could just see the front for a fraction of a second. And it resembled the RR Phantom. Sh**!! Damn it!!! I missed havin a proper look at it. Didnt have a cam also with me. Double Damn it!!! Well, as the car passed, i took a look at the sides. It was a Limo. Three huge side glasses. Whoa not a Phantom, but a Phantom Limo. I was But something told me that this doesnt look like a Phantom. It didnt have the class, the presence and the size of a Roller. As the car passed I noticed the rear of the car. It had something (a logo) that looked like a MM(Maybach) logo. Since when did RR start producing the Maybach?? Then just one look at the tail lights and i almost puked in the middle of the road. The rear lights looked like a typical DC design. Eeks. Good i didnt have a cam on me. And good I saw the rear of the car, Or i would be running all over town telling people I saw a RR Phantom (and that too a stretched limo).

I doubt the car was DC Designed. Reason : He never copies grille designs. So i guess this car was either Rio or PCB. Or it coud be anyone. The next time you guys see a RR Phantom lookalike limo, remember its not a RR. So dont bother to give it a 2nd look.

hahahahahaha

i saw this car 1-2 months ago, but i didnt bother posting up because it was butt-ugly, its a sonata done up by DC, spotted outside shatranj at pali hill.

i spoke to the driver & he agreed to show me the interiors, it was alright, nothing compared to the work he's been doing on the merc's of late, quality was definetly not what u'd expect & yes the front was ripped off a rolls royce & the rear a lincoln town car.....

hey v12,
all i can confirm is dc was working on a stretch limo rolls royce for a british customer. quite a while back, i had visited "speed demon tuning" in parel, mumbai along with ported_head. there we saw a rolls royce that had come in from Uk. the guy who runs that place told us that the Rolls Royce had come to DC to make a stretch limo out of it and he had the car with him cos he was to strengthen the chassis and work on the engine mods. I dont know if its the same car that you saw.

I would prefer to get the engine mods done by some BMW specialist in the UK

This Lincoln (along with a couple of superbikes) was a part of the Lifestyle road show a couple of months back. Its pretty badly maintained. The car paint has lost its shine and the chrome grille too is sooo dull. I have a pic of the car. Will post it tomorrow.

I didn't know there was a black Lincoln in Mumbai too. I've seen a golden Lincoln Town Car stretch limo many times.
