@Mirage

The picture of 5th gen Celica brought back memories of my first car, a '92 Celica. Thanks for putting it up.

That's a clean and well maintained Celica but I think the tailpipe looks odd. I remember seeing a similar Celica in a Salman Khan movie once. Is this the same one?

re: Pics : Toyota Celicas in Mumbai

Hey i am planning to buy Toyota celica, the one with the pop up headlights. I have just received the photograph without any details of vehicle status, documents and even price. In next 2-3 days i will be meeting with the owner. Can anyone please guide me through this? What all I should check, what would be the appropriate price seeing the condition (attaching few pictures for better understanding). I would be grateful for your help. Thanks in anticipation.

Don’t want to put a dampener on your spirits but it’s probably wise to stay away from that car. Looking at its condition, it seems it will require a full body off, nut and bolt level restoration that will take years of research, waiting for parts and then fine tuning the car to your own tastes.

If you decide to go for it, make sure the title and all paperwork especially the import paperwork is clear. Check and see if there’s anything at all that runs in the car and can actually be salvaged. Also check with your local RTO if there are outstanding fines, or other malicious details that are hiding below the surface.

All the best!

This red one seems like in fine condition, later generation as well, could be a good buy at a sensible price.
