No, thats the Nissan Pixo, an export only model made by Maruti for Nissan. The Pixo is same as the Astar except with a redesigned front nose and the 350Z's V6 engine, poor mileage though.

This is the pixo and it shares everything with the a-star, including the mechanicals. Only differentiating factor is its nose.

i dont believe the person who says that Pixo has V6, if it does, then it would be a pocket rocket from Nissan, outdooing even the 350-370Z in every perofrmance test.

Thats' simply not possible. It either has the same engine as A-Star or 1.2L as Ritz as these Pixos are exproted as CBU's to other countries by MSIL.

i might be able to get you guys more pics next week as we have rented out our place for the nissan showroom and will be functional by diwali.

I dont think this is a test mule Micra. This, going by the color, seems to be a Mumbai car which is a private import. It was blue earlier and then painted this color. Sports a Jhol Number.

Here is another pic of the car :

HE was just critisizing, and IMO this doesnt look in any way like a test car, it looks completely 'On Road'.
I wont be surprised if someone came out and said that he "modded" his A-Star to look like the nissan.

Friends , Indians , Countrymen - The Nissan Micra is nothing but our friendly neighbourhood A-Star badged as a Nissan and sold in non-competing markets .
GM Suzuki and Nissan have some kind of agreement on this - Not sure of the details.
The Americans fall for this - The same car slightly repackaged is sold at higher prices
in different brands - Take the example of Ford and Lincoln..
I think if Nissan is going to launch this, it better be substantially different from the
A-Star , India has a mature ,*very* opinionated market (T-bhp is itself evidence of this!!!) and will be a tough nut to crack once people get to know.Let's see what differentiators they bring in !
The Nissan badge is a good sell,
Well well well
Only time will tell ..
Cheers,
