There is a guy in chennai who makes bonet bra's upon order for various cars. This might be mightily useful in our indian traffic but it really spoils the look of the car. What is the point of having a good car and not being able to show it off properly.

What would be the approximate price today if a similar clean 993 turbo was up for sale in India.

P.S.: I do not know any piece on sale. Just inquiring to check if I can save up enough to buy one some day.

Car bra is very common in the middle east! You get it for almost all cars and also the price is nominal and affordable by all! Basically its for protecting the paint of the car from the dusty sandy sand storms (some local ME national told me).

Only 3 in Mumbai (Maybe 4, I remember seeing one in Brown color). None are for sale at the moment.

The Brown convertible is not Blue. So two blues (coupe and convertible) and one white.

The cars would or should be in between the 20 to 30 lakh range for the 993's, but again depends on the owner and the condition of the car. The last Bombay car that got sold went for appx 24 Lakhs.

From what I remember, it was more like a Targa version. Also, someone has posted in another thread that the brown 993 underwent a repaint and is blue now. True?

Sorry my bad..it was supposed to read now instead of not . The brown 993 is now blue. The car went through a full restoration and is ever more beautiful.

Both the 993's belong to our fellow member Saltydog..the now blue convertible and the white coupe.

I heard that the owner (the one after Ambani) has sold it.
He (one of the two brothers) uses a Nano nowadays.
He used to keep the car in an air conditioned container at his worli sea face bungalow.

Well what you heard is part right. The car was sold over 3 years ago from R.C. to a friend I.M. who sold it a year ago further on, to the current owner S.S. RC has a nano in the house but thats for doing the market runs and house duty. The car was never kept in an aircontioned container..but yes in a container at the world house to protect from rusting. I know as i had gone to collect the car with me friend.

20 to 30L for a 993 Turbo????? That would be a steal... i'd be happy to pay 50!! 20 to 30L even for a 993 c2 or a cab (the turbo was only made in a coupe- wide body also used for the c4s) isn't bad money! They go for that in the UK for very average cars! The Turbo's are trading way higher between 50k to 100+++ GBP.

[300 KMPH]

Spotted ex-Ambani's ride yesterday at MTW, Shivaji Park. It was driven by a 20-22 year old. It's as loud as a modern day Porsche. Was probably there for some maintenance work.
