And after Speedrun it will be 1000-1200 hp? Just asking cause there seems to be a linear progression.

At this rate the car will be 5000 hp and outrunning a flying F16 by next year's Speedrun.

looks like he will be giving cusco's wrx (the world fastest sti) a run for its money but after modding it to about 800 hp as claimed will it be able to put all the power down to the road with out loss of traction.

Well it could the EJ 25 long block, which is USDM spec. This block is known to trap 114 mph in 4th, in bone stock form.

Pawan, didn't get get your signature. I doubt you need 1000 bhp to get to 12 seconds with a Supra. Also, the Cusco is a street replica of a GT car, not a dragstrip special.

Dippy, will look forward to seeing your car run at Speedrun. I guess with 1500 bhp, an AT is a must.

Instead of the this BHP race why doesnt Mihir just scan a copy of the dyno output as he has the car done from UAE.. I am sure there must be a copy of the Rolling road output of the car..
Will solve all the hassles...

due to the gauges being glued onto the air bag cover - there will be a delay in the air-bag popping out - which will depend on the strength of the glue used in securing the gauges.
yes, the air bag will pop out but what you have to realise here is that the air bag is set to fill-up within certain time on detection of an accident. any obstruction over the lid will provide certain resistance to this process - maybe minor or major resistance.

My advice to the owner: If your car is genuinely 600-650 hp, it was done in Dubai, where there are tuners with expertise and equipment to carry out such extensive modifications.

There is no such thing out here in Bombay, to take a car from 650 to 850 hp, and at the same time guarantee you that it will run reliably and not lead to embarassment and expensive repairs.

If any tuner is promising you that, I'm pretty sure you're being mislead. It's one thing to take a 3-4 lakh rupee lancer or OHC and modd it to a few hundred hp where the owner is just plain happy to have those figures and is willing to sacrifice reliability.

It's quite another to take a 30 -40 lakh plus car that already has 600 hp and has been worked on by qualified and equipped tuners abroad, and let someone local with no proper equipment or experience mess around with it, when they won't even be able to put it on a dyno and prove the gains to you.

Keep it the way it is.

Boom you're bang on target there but IIRC the owner is flying the original tuner from Dubai down for the Speedrun. I could wrong though.

But will 800hp allow the car to run the 1/4 any faster that 600hp? Theoretically ofcourse, but lets see...

Yes it will make quite a lotta difference .. if the cars hitting a ton in 3.2 secs now ... so 1ce its running 800-850 hurses it might be takin 2.9 - 3.0 secs .... and a sub 10 sec 1/4 mile
