^^ That seriously looks like a 'modified' merc, not something worth a massive fortune.

I hear the Maybach has a depreciation value of about $50,000 a year. So must be cheap to buy second hand?!

Speaking of buying a second hand Maybach - here is one on auction / sale at Historic Auctions for a price of 1.75-2 Cr.

Isn't this a bit too overpriced for this particular car. Post #86 by Speedy suggests that a maybach was bought for 2.3cr and this was over 10 years ago. Am I missing something or is this an absurd estimate for the car?

I don't think these cars have a market price as such. Nor do previous benchmarkings work when there are a handful of them in the country of which none besides this are really up for sale. I think a decade ago or so this car was approx 5cr, given the current trend of new/used car prices, the vintage value/condition of this particular car makes it decently price IMO.

If I were a car collector, I would jump on this! Maybach as a brand maybe yet alive but Maybach as a product is dead and such an example will hold tremendous value for the decades ahead, if maintained well.
