The Performante was given to the owner sometime last year but I guess that he's either been too busy to drive it or has been driving it in unconventional spots across the city.


There isn't a single photo of that car outside the showroom AFAIK but I do have a few from when it was in showroom. That was the last car I ever clicked in LM, after which all photography inside the showroom was prohibited.

The first gen Gallardos and Spyders, the 550-2, the Noctis,560-4 coupes and spyders,570-4 Superleggera,the first gen Superleggera,the SuperTrofeo Stradale,even the Gallardo SE on a regular basis make Mumbai the city with the choicest splattering of Gallardos in the country

and now the 570-4 Performante completes this platter after finding home in the city

Spotted (well, it just flew past us) a Gallardo on the Expressway today just before Panvel at around 4:30pm.

It was surely being driven with loads of confidence and the way it maneuvered through the other mortals on the road made it impossible to properly judge it. I'm fairly sure it was the Performante.

Does anyone know about this?

Was it a Convertible and did it have a spoiler? And what color was it? Yellow?
And was it going towards Pune or coming Bombay?

My apologies but I was on the phone when I heard a deep ravenous exhaust note and was so exhilarated to determine where it was coming from that I frantically started looking everywhere and 'it' zipped by in a flash; too fast for my senses to analyze what it was! I barely managed to get a glimpse of the unmistakable yellow livery and those blaring quad exhausts and immediately concluded it was a Gallardo.

I believe it did have a spoiler, yes but I'm not sure if it was a convertible. It was going toward Bombay. I thought the ongoing road-widening (lame) near Kharghar would slow him down but no siree; he just disappeared!

We were in the 2nd lane because of a couple of truckies playing 'turtle wars' and so it had to slow down behind us. I kid you not - I was startled and literally jumped in my seat when it downshifted and let out a deep, brutal roar.

Friend spotted this DL registered Gallardo in Hiranandani, Powai recently.
