I bet Amar makes enough money shovelling the dirt that AB Senior creates when globe-trotting. Have you ever seen Amar Singh NOT by his side? Bet you a million bucks he's hiding under the Phantom in those pics.

  13. DC Modified Make up van
Thats a sum total of ~13.03 crores worth of Cars. Which is still nothing considering Big B himself makes around 17-19 crores a year.

Also someone was saying Abhisheks driving a Black X5 now. Has he replaced the Silver? What news of the S and 6 after the floods?
Iv seen tht van parked outside his bungalow a few times and it looks really good. I think there was a feature on it a few years ago in one of the auto mags.

Saw the Bentley heading in the opposite direction to me (southbound) at around 17.30 hrs this evening at Babulnath.

Awesome presence. Colour's a bit bling-bling nouveau riche though. Pity.

Just noticed - Bachchan's been ordering that Phantom since the past 3 years... see the first post on this thread.

@Maverick5490: Care to share any inside info?

The Bentley might be Amar Singhs car, but is it just a coincidence that Amar Singh too prefers his car in White (as it is well known that AB likes his cars in white). Personally I think a car of the stature of a winged B is a waste in white.

CNN IBN just reported this about the recent gifts given to the Bachchans

The Bentley Continental GT actually belongs to Amar Singh and is apparently for his use when hes in Mumbai. The car will be kept at the Bachchans house which Amar Singh said is like his house and is where he stays whenever hes in Mumbai. Amar Singh himself spoke to the media clarifying this.

The Rolls Royce Phantom was given to Amitabh Bachchan by Vidhu Vinod Chopra for his work in Eklavya. However Amitabh Bachchan didnt take took a token amount of 1 rupee to sign Eklavya. CNN IBN said that this was done to save on tax which Amitabh Bachchan would have had to pay incase he earnt the money. There is no tax on gifts and so Amitabh Bachchan doesnt have to pay tax on what he earns from Eklavya.

Heres a link to the article

Bachchans' cars a tax-saving ploy : bachchan, rolls royce, bentley, vidhu vinod chopra, amar singh : IBNLive.com : CNN-IBN

Amar Singh is a business man. And a successful one at that. He cannot be called a politician. Being a member of the Rajya Sabha does not make one a politician.

White!!

It was a publicity stunt all the way.
By this was Eklavya is in limelight ... wondering how good the movie is, many people will go to watch it. Getting AB in picture and RR he has made enough to recover the cost of the car i.e. if he is paying for it!!

He is a General Sec. for the Samajwadi Party. So he is a politician, although a businessman.

As for the cars, I am sure about the marketing/tax saving gimmick. Fabulous cars nevertheless!

He is the Gen Sec of SP as someone has already said. I can almost guess what business he's into.... lets not get into that. Beisdes he can do any business and also "make it successful". If you still dont get my point... leave it!

He's been known to do a lot of business on the side out here in UP. Word is that he's the TOP power broker of UP. As soon as SP goes out of power he's going to be in trouble for encouraging some Liquor factories to do Excise evasion.
