shark i dont think this car belonged to the late father of spiderman. he was a person who liked keeping a low profile and was not into importing foreign cars from what i understand. if what you say is true then i dont think paying a few lacs to free the car after it being impounded would have made any difference to spiderman. it would not go into custom auction and resurface after so many years in such mint condition.

amatmo the car does give an average of 1.5 or 2 maximum. it is a pure breed american fuel guzzler with tremendous road presence and power.

This is a Custom auction Car!!
I was there to inspect the car at Nhava seva and for the auction.
the car remained in good condition because it was stored in a container!
The dealer just wanted the car for one of his clients, and so gave up bidding after a certain point!
But since then, the car is no more as mint as it was, alas!

point taken that the car is a custom auction car and it was lyeing in the container for years. how would the car have an MP no plate and the authenticity that the car was for the late father of spiderman. you mean to say the car was stored in the container for more then 5yrs and in such good shape with no rust. that is what i am doubting.

Hey scooby, was this a recent auction? Cos V12 had seen the car 2 years back with a pre-95 registration. And this one sports a MP regn now. Seems to have changed plates.

Oh, this auction was atleast 4 years maybe 5 years back!
the car is a 2000/1 model. and registration nos with some dealers can one really Trust??
it came to me again 2 years back for resale and had a MP no. because they said couldnt register in Mumbai because of LHD.
Moreover in many states[specially NCR] one can carry forward their registration nos to their new cars!! so cant really tell the year of regd from the no.

oh again thats a Procedure Robin, in our country.
go to customs house, pay a fee, take a auction list, go to nhava seva make a pass with a clearing agents help--and so on man!!
auctions are held every 3 months at both the ports here. and there is a Mafia, or as they call regular agents/dealers for these auctions!
Ive now given up. and the cars and bikes there are all sabotaged.

yea. I heard about this so called mafia. I guess all the cars/bikes would be sold long before the actual auction! BTW, is it a silent auction or a regular one?

the dealer mafia at the auctions are very strong. it is difficult to beat them. had tried once but then there were things which went missing from the car and i had to let it go. there are some beutiful cars that come up at the auctions though.

this car must have been bought from a diplomat... or then imported a while back. there are other ways, but i doubt this car was imported through any of them. Amazing car!
