Hey Guys,
* *A few of my friends met ranjit the guy who the car belongs to. He has worked on the turbo i heard. The car is completely ready and has been on road from the past week. I personally havent seen her. Ranjit has told a few friends he has more than 800hp. But i think with his setup around 500+ at wheels.

* I know one guy in australia whos BIL has a 8th Sin with nearly 600hp at wheels. And he too claims its crazy. Not to mention my friend has 3 WILD mind it WILD cars. He has 2 Skylines and a WRX. The best skyline he has is the BCNR-33 (GTR-700) with... hold ur breath.... 1350hp at wheels. Crazy man!!!.
* *He manages to clock 8's in the 1/4. The car is stage 3 tuned and this dude spent more than 150,000AUD in the car!.
and the weight of car is only 2960lbs. Lighter than a supra by nearly 369lbs!.
* Now the silver supra's timings...
calculating at wheel.
Approximate 530hp at wheel

1620*2.204622476= 3571
3571/530=6.73
cube root of 6.73=1.888
1.888*5.825=10.997

* He should be able to do between a 11.5 with a perfect run.but remember the calculation derives a number if the person has a reaction of around .6. And the tires are sticking well etc. anyway Thats good!. First time india i think we would be seeing such timings!.

Let me know what you guys think.

Cheers
Dom

Hey Gto,
The formula is pretty accurate. This formula is used to derive approximate times and power of vehicles. There are also formula's to derive the weight of the vehicle using power and et. I usually add the 20% in weight for our indian conditions as we arent that good yet in reaction times and using good rubber. The addition gives pretty accurate numbers so far.

You can also derive a vehicles HP from dividing the (ET/5.825)power of 3 then divide by weight. You should get a pretty close HP (RWHP). the weight should be in US (lbs).

Heres the Info i have guys,
* * The bangalore silver supra mods!
Well hes got a new turbo kit. Looks like a T67 Turbo. Man his car is LOUD!. He also has a 4" downpipe, HKS Ti exhaust. The other things he had earlier are the Apex S-AFC (this is pretty cool can be used in the vtec). He aslo has twin BOV's for that loud hiss

POwer: i think around 530.
1/4: hell do a 12 sec!!

Cheers
Dom

Hi Rehaan,
The Apex S-AFC is a super air flow convertor. Basically what this thing does is modify the air flow signal (or pressure in this case) to optimize the air/fuel ratio. The fuel curve can be controlled by this device. Very handy. The S-AFC 2 is also verry good. Can be used on any of the new cars now come to india!. Works superb on vtec's!.
Cool isnt it!... But theres lots they can do!. They still havent touched the internals!. Hes running a boost of about 18psi now. Thats roughly 660bhp at the crank!. In a supra ive noticed each additional inch of boost above one bar constitutes to 19.7 hp per psi!. So hes roughly got 340bhp just by the turbo!. Also he has running a single turbo now!. and using a mix fuel with a MON rating of about 98 - 99. The other basic stuff he has is boost controller 700cc injectors etc. The white supra dude has 1000cc injectors! (thats what he said) havent checked it myself though.

Cheers

Thanks Dom,

Single turbo - does he plan to go biturbo? wouldnt it make more sense to stick with a big one if the car is gonna be used for drags?

Hi,
No he was running two sequential (stock ones before). But its prefered to run large single ones. Rather than having two. In drag races we will surely never start from 1k rpm so who cares... There are Big turbos capable of upto 1800hp!!. The SP turbos for example they have one of the largest trim turbos capable of 1500hp!... you need a 100shot of N2O to spool this baby up .
He recently went single (in march this year). Hes got his kit from Kean from Boost Logic. www.boostlogic.com. The BL67 Ptrim turbo i think.

Cheers

Hehehe, Okay I will admit, thats not an original. Dilip Chabbria had named one of his creations the BTS, and when asked what it stood for....you know the answer
