Silver Corvette ZR-1 spotted on Marine Drive

that looks like a normal corvette C5 and not a ZR1.. but its quite a rare catch in Mumbai

The old wheels look so much better than the dirty Taiwan looking wheels now!
Talking of wheels I need new wheels for my 996 & 997. I'm in dbx and surprisingly not found anything yet! Any suggestions on who can make this happen in india only?

Frontal pics i presume by the person who started a thread on her and claimed things.

The colour is called Inferno Orange Metallic and it does not look like anything like the Copper/Bronze colour of the R8. Here is a picture of the colour on the car. Picture is of the actual car here and not from the net.

The ZR-1 comes with different alloys, doesn't it? It doesn't look like a ZR-1 to me. The gills seem to be different and the ZR1 has a badge on the rear bumper.

+1, I wanted to bring a ZR1 to india when I moved but since its almost end of the C6 gen, I will look at one once the C7 comes out.

This is an older C6. I wonder how they got that in as it would be hard to find a new one that old right now, until its a TR.

I do miss my vette.

Well its not really that hard, there are other auto enthusiasts who like to buy new cars & store them, driving only during weekends & accumulating couple hundred/ thousand miles a year. Thus you get a old car with very low miles looking better than brand new due to the maintenance.

Well the original silver car in this thread is a C4.

Pics just a few posts above are of an Atomic Orange C6.

cause the C6 is not as powerful as a Z06 which is a great car and the ZR-1 is heaven on wheels .... manual, huge V8, supercharged, limited slip, great handling ...

0-100 is a regular C6 is 4.2 seconds whereas the Z06 is 3.7 seconds ...
they are very different cars on the road .. its kind of like a BMW 650 compared to the M6 ...

well cause a C6 is just the base model .. the Z06 is crazy .. 0-100 in 3.7 seconds with a manual gear box. think about it. the ZR1 is heaven on wheels, great power, massive v8, manual gear box, supercharged, limited slip/trac lock, and great handling, and the Hennessey version is wild! the Z06 is just an all round well balanced car. I mean, when your talking "corvette". the ZR1 is the impractical devil while the Hennessey is his trident!
anyway, its like the BMW 650 compared to the M6, both fast, but ones not fast enough .

The latest Zr1 is a real beast. It lapped Virginia International Raceway, 3.8 secs quicker than an R35 and 6.4secs quicker than the Z06.
