It's a boring, subtle paint scheme. Just makes it look like a normal car...albeit an incredibly long one.

Actually they have nice colour combination schemes. Around 10 of them, if I'm correct. A very innovative way to check the combinations.

Images below will give some ideas. These are pebble like shapes cut in to half. Half cut part is framed with chrome finish. Chrome finish surfaces are magnetic field with south and north very clearly decided depending from the colour schemes company feels right.

So when you bring those two colour schemes (north pole/south pole) close to each other, they stick. And those are the colour combinations company is suggesting.

Note: These are not the actual colours. Demo images created on computer for explanation.

Colours with north pole and north pole wouldn’t stick by the law of physics and that’s exactly company is telling you. They don’t recommend those combinations for Maybach.

However, customer has a choice to go by north pole/north pole. He’s paying for it anyway.

Mercedes offers only selected colours for Maybach. Final paint comes with ceramic coating to avoid scratches.

Oh yes, I agree I've seen some attractive colours on the Maybach...this grey/silver combo seemed a tad too dull for my liking.

Besides the paint scheme i would opt in for maybach any day rather than the phantom ... (comparing both in the same paint scheme)

Simply cause of the reason maybach has to offer what phantom cant deliver ...

Phantom :

Maybach :

Maybach doesn't look as big as it is..exactly is almost the size of Phantom, even longer than it, but not as tall as phantom..

Maybach is sleek & curvy like a martial artist..but Phantom is like a body builder..But Maybach more luxurious & advanced than the other

My choice is anyway Maybach

for me maybach is the one.

if you want a car, that will make your neighbours jealous and also get you calls from a bhai in dubai get a rolls.

but if you want a car in which you could keep a lower profile and be comfortable get a maybach, but you will still get a phone call from a bhai of Income tax department.

The only place Phantom wins by vote at large is its front end looks.....its GRAND! On other aspects, rear end, interiors...its gotta be the Maybach

Guys, this was a thread about the sighting of a Maybach in India so let's stick to that & not go off-topic about what we like or not. We can start a different thread for that & anyways this has already been discussed in many-many threads.

P.S. BTW I would prefer the Phantom anyday

The Maybach is ultimate in luxury, but looks like yet another merc (which is good) and is actually a very big and luxurious merc.

The Phantom is a style statement and has a legacy and status symbol which is much bigger than any maybach will ever be. It's like owning the Maharaja's car. an RR!

Cant afford both, but my choice is the Phantom anyday, tho i love the maybach too.

errrmm - this looks like Binz's pics in Mumbai unless the owner's dubious links as reported in the press, saw the car migrate
