Thanks to the Tyre import ban there were pretty old stock tyres available in the market and pricing varied a lot among various dealers.
Finally settled for the Falken Azenis FK453 model, as i got a 1+2 year unconditional warranty, latest manufacturing (2018 end lot made in Japan) and a decent price.
get them installed asap. videoshoot due soon with the palio.

Talking about the Palio and the Porsche Cayman in the same frame, here's my Palio with the Porsche Boxster.

Nice write up Rishabh! The pictures are a visual treat. Can only imagine how much fun it'd be to drive it... Happened to run into this thread just a few days after witnessing the 987.2 on the BIC track!
Keeping an eye out for further ownership updates on this one.

@ Rishabh, been through the thread a couple of times and not going to lie that white unicorn you've got there is a real show stealer. I loved your approach towards an absolute bone stock steed i can only wonder how meticulous the process must've been.
As a dilliwala who's on a similar track i'd love to pick your brain about it if that works.

Re: My white steed from Stuttgart - Porsche Cayman S 987.2 Review

Posting the latest update on the car
The car has done 15800 kilometers on the ODO and running fine

Took the car on Buddh International Circuit in March 2021 after installation of the new rear tires & it was one hell of an experience

Ready to shoot, in the pit lane
My white steed from Stuttgart - Porsche Cayman S 987.2 Review-img20210322wa0033.jpg

This car actually felt at home on the track & literally feels like it is running on rails around corners.
My white steed from Stuttgart - Porsche Cayman S 987.2 Review-img20210321wa0024.jpg

The car was Driven in Sport mode as it has reduced ESP assistance & did not prefer to use Sport Plus (Although made for use on the track) as it needs more experience & almost disables the ESP.
For using sport plus on the track one needs to master the art of balancing the steering & throttle inputs through the corners & bringing the car back in line.

Mod Note : Please quote ONLY the relevant bits of a post. Quoting a full, long post inconveniences our mobile readers.

Thanks!

That rear slope is a thing of beauty, did you do any dash videos of the lap?

Re: My white steed from Stuttgart - Porsche Cayman S 987.2 Review

After almost ~2 years of happy ownership of the vehicle, i have made up my mind to sell the Cayman and get something more practical (Not decided yet).

Have posted the ad on the classifieds section & hope to find a caring buyer for her

Fantastic writeup Rishabh.
I've just started my search for a 981.
I'm unable to DM you, so if you could, can you please share what you paid for your 987 2 years ago and any other sources in terms on where to look for these?

What are the more practical options you are looking at?

I am half contemplating a shift from my 2017 Mini JCW, and am generally curious!

I think he was thinking about an M3, C63, M5, Panamera or E63. These are fast sports cars with four doors and five seats, which would fit his need perfectly.
