Today, while I was taking a walk, I found this beautiful Nissan 300ZX being repaired. The location was Khar West. I'm so lucky to see this bad boy!

Yeah, I doubt it too, although I think ours will have one soon perhaps. Our neighbors to the north, for example, already have this program in place.

Awesome !
There is a huge frenzy in the Porsche communities in US and UK about the GT3 RS and the Dealers' arm twisting potential buyers to get an allocation. Most who have tried have been forced to buy 10 other high depreciation volume drivers like Macan etc. before being given a GT3 RS. Is it the same case in India too?

From what I have been seeing (in terms of buyers previous ownership history), it doesn’t seem to apply in the same way here whatsoever.

In India so far, we have 19 cars delivered, 1 TDV with Porsche India and another 6 awaiting delivery (as of 15th June 2024). In those 26 cars, maybe 5-7 owners have previous Porsche ownership history and certainly none of them have had 10 cars, new or old in their collection from Zuffenhausen.

If I were a collector in the UK & other RHD countries like Japan and was seeing the ease of GT3RS allocations for India, I would be rightfully livid.

Quite interesting.
My friend, who lives in the UK, was told by a dealer to buy a brand new 718 GT4 RS just to be in line for a 992 GT3 RS but later was told that an allocation was not guaranteed. When he saw Mat Watson (Carwow channel on youtube) get his 992 GT3 RS without any history or purchase conditions, he got Livid and immediately exchanged his brand new 718 GT4 RS for a well-loved 991 GT3.
He's found peace with it and vows never to buy brand new Porsche ever.

This youtube Video gives a detailed view of the tribulations of potential 992 GT3 RS buyers in UK

Insider news is that options including car value has to be of a certain number to be in line for allocation in first place, and then some history would be of help, since too many don't have much history in any case. And part of them have some influence to pull.

All in all, the manager of Porsche centre says, he is absolutely helpless in getting a confirmed allocation (even after making it touch the figure with options) for his very long time associations and is quite upset about how Porsche Middleeast is doing the allocations !
