It's not only with Ambani's, all the big corporations and MNC's in the world follow this protocol. Most of them have a policy restricting the number of executives that may travel on the same corporate or commercial plane (generally a part of Going Concern or Business Continuity Management controls).

You can read more about it here - https://www.shrm.org/hr-today/news/h...ameflight.aspx.

I could be wrong but In my opinion, it is more about “show” than “go”. I see no reason why scorpios and fortuners can not keep up with the expensive machines in city traffic.

Imagine the plight of the soul, if Mr Ambani lands up for a casual hangout with a good old friend and suppose she/he isn’t blessed with ample parking space. Must be a celebrity moment for the host itself.

Expensive, indeed. However, it seems like a garage created by someone who doesn't know much about cars. Oh? That's expensive? Buy it! Tasteless! If I were that rich, I'd definitely have a showpiece of a garage and not just by filling up the same model/brand over and over again. Give me the funds and I'll build a masterpiece starting with a grand opening of a V8 Esprit, a 550 Maranello, an XJ220 and an Isdera Commendatore 112i (yes, I would buy the surviving priceless concepts and mod them). Give me money! NOW!

Re: The Jio / Ambani Garage : Massive collection of Imports & Supercars

Nice pics. Actually they own 17 jets in the group. I have interacted with one of the pilots, so it's first hand information. Also saw one Ambani (apparently) Aston Martin lying outside the Gamdevi police station near the Gandhi museum for quite a while, gathering dust. It was allegedly involved in an accident and the people whose cars were damaged in the accident were "gifted" upgraded versions of the cars that were damaged. An Audi A4 owner was gifted an Audi A6 and a Hyundai owner was gifted a Skoda Superb or Octavia.

Correct, looks like the standard clock instead of the Tourbillon with the transparent cover. Although they could afford it, looks like they missed out on this option.

Could be true, as if it was the Breitling Tourbillon Clock, it would have grabbed my attention. But the watch on the dashboard looked something like this as it had a black and not a transparent dome.

Looks like @moralbfibre beat me to it.

Here are links to some of the other enthusiast garage.
Makes one realise how non-enthusiastic the Ambani garage is with regard to their wealth.

If I recall correctly, the 2nd car wasn't a Hyundai. It was a Superb and it was replaced with an A4. Win-win situation?

Edit: Sorry. You are right. It was a Hyundai. It is here

Agree, this is part of business continuity or risk management. There are protocols on how many executives can travel together. There are also guidelines on maximum number of employees on a plane.

Clearly not a level playing field. I guess it's ok if no one was injured - an NDA can be signed and the matter closed. I wonder what would happen if someone was in one of those cars.

Re: The Jio / Ambani Garage : Massive collection of Imports & Supercars

A little bit of sour grapes here, looking at the comments.
All I can say is that I can’t afford even the cheapest car in their garage and if by some luck I happen to get one, I will cherish it for the rest of my life.

While you are right, only a handful of people in this forum have the means to afford the cars in this thread, our comments regarding the collection does not have to do with the pedigree of the cars. There are people with lesser means who have much cheaper cars. But small touches in those collections make you understand that the owner really has purchased something cherishing them and knows the cultural significance of the cars. We all have collectively celebrated such collections. Like the Dulquer Salman 369 Garage with the tasteful mini, Volvo and BMWs all tastefully done to celebrate their heritage. Or the Gautam Singhania collection with a tasteful mix of classic and new. You also know the owner derives pleasure from these. These guys in fact even drive these. How can i forget the 111 collection. The classics in those are so so sweet. It feels nice to know the owners have cared enough to put some thought into the purchase.

We love this forum because we know that the guys here cherish their rides be it a TVS 50 or an F40. We enjoy reading the stories they forge with these vehicles. So we probably enjoy a garage which has its story to tell than a garage which looks like an attic of under appreciated things. (I really do not mean that this garage has under maintained cars. Far from it, they could be the best maintained cars). Maybe they do have such cars which are their prized possessions. But probably being in constant spotlight would rob the ability for this family to derive pleasure from such small things.

I hope you dont take offense in what i have said here. But seeing the aforementioned garages has been one of the best things of this lockdown and i need to thank to mods for starting those threads. I hope you understand where our collective emotions come from.

Mods: I am sorry for going off topic. If inappropriate, please do remove this post.

Re: The Jio / Ambani Garage : Massive collection of Imports & Supercars

Truly an droolworthy collection. I see many cars registered under the name 'Exotic Cars'. Any idea why is it so?

If this is the garage of Mukesh Ambani, I wonder what all exotics will come under the Jeff Bezos garage who has almost double the wealth of Mukesh Ambani. One of my crazy friend made calculations and found out that buying a Range Rover Vogue costing 2.2 crores for Mr.Bezos is like we recharging our mobile plan for Rs.100
