Well here’s something interesting and odd. A Series 1 Land Rover Discovery, rather well-maintained. Anyone know if there are more of these in India?

I’m not sure of the Isuzu, but the red BiTurbo still very much exists and was recently seen on a Sunday morning driving around south Bombay.

Is this car still here? Also, were there any other Atoms imported into the country?

Yes, it still forms part of his collection and is now joined by an Ariel Nomad which is essentially the off road version of the Atom.

There are actually tonnes of these. I believe this Series 1 belongs to a fellow BHPian who also has a few other Land Rover’s in his garage as well.

This RWD, mid-engined lightweight sub-4m sports car is powered by a turbocharged 700cc 3-cylinder engine paired to an AMT. Production of this car lasted only 2 years..

The owner apparently loves changing colour of the car by wrapping it every other year or so. The car has been wrapped in another color recently.
