Congrats on a great feature Gogi. Pablo did a great job on the photography, and Srini as usual was in his element since it was a classic! Any more on the anvil for the long time no see section?

yup mate. Actually, the old, once discarded injection system, was repaired and put back long ago and the carburettor was discarded but being old and partly abused, a new one had to be ordered which has since then arrived. Im in Delhi now and returning to bombay on the 12th after which I will attend to changing the old FI with the new one. Also work has to be started on the Dukkar and the 115 needs to be pushed to completion....lots of work.....

Don't know how I missed this thread.

She is lovely Gogi. Congrats!!!

Are those sealed beams? Nice. Also, I suggest you please remove the mirror-finish tints, they don't go well with the blue colour.

Thanks man.
All these yuck things came with the car, the mirror tints on the rear, the huge VW radium decal, the playboy sticker and the GTI on the rear view mirrors on the door amongst other things. It also came with a Maruti carburator which i have since long changed to the original FI unit. I will be attending to it to make it my daily drive (along with my swift) as soon as i get back. Guess by the end of next week it should be sorted out. Also on the look out for the BBS wheels which came as an option on this car.

Hey V-16 Just read through your purchase.

looks impresive. Have you done any work to the car since you bought it.
The wheels were nice and orignal.

Do share some informationa and pictures.

Cheers

That's a brilliant looking ride. I must say, she's got potential. Lots of potential.

How I wish your were based in my city. Wouldn't mind offering you a free service in exchange for a drive !

How's the restoration going? Do post some new pictures of the VW.
