Porsche has launched the updated Panamera in India. The sports sedan comes in four variants - Panamera, GTS, Turbo S and Turbo S E-hybrid. Prices start at Rs. 1.45 crore (ex-showroom).



The new Panamera is characterized by the Sport Design front end with unique air intake grilles which now comes as standard. The car features larger side cooling openings and a single-bar light module.



The Turbo S gets larger side air intakes and dual front lights which are now further apart. The rear features a light strip that runs along the width of the car and gets redesigned LED tail lights. The GTS gets darkened Exclusive Design tail lights as standard.



The base Panamera is powered by a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 engine that puts out 325 BHP and 450 Nm. The Turbo S gets a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that makes 621 BHP. It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.1 seconds and has a claimed top speed of 315 km/h.



The Panamera GTS is also powered by a twin-turbo V8. In this car, the engine puts out 473 BHP and 620 Nm. The Turbo S E-hybrid is the most powerful variant with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 and an electric motor producing a combined output of 690 BHP. It comes with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and a 17.9 kWh battery that offers an all-electric range of 59 km (NEDC cycle).



All variants come equipped with Porsche Communication Management (PCM) which includes additional functions such as wireless Apple CarPlay, LED matrix headlights with PDLS Plus, Park Assist with Surround View and head-up display.

Features such as Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control Sport (PDCC) and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) are available as options.

Porsche has launched the 2021 Panamera in India with a starting price tag of Rs. 1.45 crores (ex-showroom)



The entry-level rear wheel drive Panamera comes powered by a 2.9-litre V6 biturbo unit delivering 330 PS and 450 Nm. The GTS models have extra 20 PS now, making a total of 480 PS and 620 Nm from its 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine.

In the case of the Turbo S, which is also powered by a 4.0-litre biturbo V8, the power figure rises to 630 PS, while the Turbo S E-Hybrid has a combined 700 PS (571 PS from the 4.0-litre engine and a 136 PS from electric motor integrated into the 8-speed PDK).

The Turbo S can accelerate to 100 km/hr in 3.1 seconds and hit a top speed of 315 km/hr, the Turbo S E-Hybrid while being the most powerful, can also run silently in electric mode for up to 59 km (NEDC) owing to it having a 17.9 kWh battery pack.

Deliveries of the luxury sports saloon that is available in 4 variants, namely – Panamera, GTS, Turbo S and Turbo S E-Hybrid – have commenced as well.
