Any idea about this car?

Saw this vehicle in front of my factory at Taratola this afternoon.

Any idea what this is actually? And what do those weird letters on the number plate read?

The driver says its a "chinese car" (!)

^^ This is a Korean car. It's SsangYong Rexton. It's manufactured by the same company Mahindra just bought. This car has Bhutan registration.

@pancham i know that feeling.I too spent a day out on the roads and had seen some 25+ audi, beemer, mercs, also a cayenne.Ordinary stuff but somehow seeing them on kolkata street is an "alada" experience.I would not give a 5 series in bangalore here a second look but spot on in kolkata and i will be craning my neck to see more!

The rexton looks good, mahindra rexton anyone?

The Rexton is a "Kolkata Car" i.e. stays in Kolkata though it has Bhutan plates. A similar arrangement with an accent with the Viva grille (old verna) too.

Saw the silver Boxster going down Park Street, hood open, in the evening, around 5:30. Boy-oh-boy, did it look sweet or what? Made my day!
I think it was a 'S'

Would have loved a few pictures, Shamik! Did you get to listen to the glorious thrum of that fantastic mid-mounted flat-six? Oh, and if it had centrally-mounted dual-drain pipes, then it's definitely the 'S'!

@Suhaas: It was going quite slowly to not let everyone enjoy the aural pleasures that its flat six can provide, but quick enough to not let me fish out my phone and take a snap. He should have done one of those things!

There's a white 993, avishar. Saw it once on Camac Street. It has hugely fat tires at the rear. He smoked them going into a side road. Don't know about the 964. Any pictures on the forum?
I also saw a new gen 5-series today. Mistook it for a 3-series from the front. IMHO, lacks the attention grabbing sense the E60 had.

Correction. It is not a 964,its a red 930.Its owned by the same person who owns the 348,yellow 360,430,Sl.I am not sure if it is in kolkata though(although high chances that its here)
Also the owner of park hotel used to own a 997 Carrera before and the car was in kolkata till a few years back.

So the white 993 and this porsche boxster, black 924 are the only "propah" porsche's spotted.Any more porsches(other than cayennes)?

Porsches are a seriously rare find here(other than Cayennes) yet it is great to find out that there are so many although I haven't spotted any except the 924.

P.S- I wish someone gets a Panamera. Almost every city has it.
