Lamborghini India sells 300 cars; Urus remains most popular

Lamborghini's cumulative sales in India have hit the 300 units mark. The new sales milestone was announced by the Italian supercar brand as part of the Lamborghini Day celebrations.

Earlier this year, Lamborghini delivered the 100th Urus SUV in India. The Urus is the most popular model in Lamborghini's lineup.

In 2020, despite the pandemic, Lamborghini delivered 50 Urus SUVs. In 2019, the carmaker sold 65 units of the Urus in India, posting a growth of 30% over the previous year.

This year, the company introduced the Huracan EVO RWD Spyder and the Huracan STO, along with the Urus Pearl Capsule and Graphite Capsule editions.

Lamborghini has been focussing on bringing new models faster to the market while also creating experiences for customers to enable them to enjoy their Lamborghinis in the Indian environment to drive up sales.

Seems to be a doable figure. The commitment of the brand to India has been quite admirable over the past decade or so.

The Urus will definitely be Lamborghini India's 'Knight in a shining armour' given the condition of our roads. Excited to see what the future holds for this brand!

Lamborghini India records highest-ever sales in 2021

Lamborghini India is set to end the year on a high note. The Italian supercar maker recorded the highest ever sales in India this year, surpassing the record yearly sales of 52 units achieved in 2019.

Earlier this year, Lamborghini achieved the 300 units sales milestone in India. However, the carmaker hasn't disclosed the exact number of cars sold during 2021.

According to Shard Agarwal, Head of Lamborghini India, the supercar maker registered a growth of 20% in H1 2021. Demand started improving from October 2020. He also confirmed that the waiting period for a Lamborghini is 7-12 months, depending on the model.

Lamborghini currently offers the Urus, Huracan and Aventador in India, with the Urus being the most popular among them.
