I wonder what will the feasibility of such ventures in India, As they are focused only with one brand and cars in those brand are limited. They have to take into account that not all owners might drop by for tuning.

Yeah, a reputed tuner for one or all of the German Big 3 (Audi, Merc and BMW) makes sense as they are much more common in India than the likes of Porsche.

An exclusive tuner for a brand as niche as Porsche in a country like India has little to no feasibility from a business perspective.

Wow!

This is a niche service for a niche product! in India! at the stock state of tune the cars are overkill.

Passed by this place in the morning today.

I hope everybody can see the irony of the situation.

The dealership in bangalore shut down and was contributed to the fact that it had less volumes and more pressure from Porsche to expand . And now there is an even more niche Porsche tuner showroom

But a good initiative nonetheless, hope Porsche sales and in turn the work at this new place picks up and we can have some good cars on the road.

Volumes was never an issue for the erstwhile Porsche Bengaluru dealer, infact they were one with one of the highest volumes countrywide. They had to shut shop because of unreasonable pressure from Porsche India to expand to extents that made no financial sense. And as for TechArt, they had bagged the rights a while back, back when they were still operating Porsche with the objective of running both at the same time but things panned out differently and they decided to retain the TechArt rights.

Wouldn't that be a conflict of interest if they own both the showroom and Techart? They might divert service from their official service center to TechArt if they had more margins there.
