Re: Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato launched at Rs 4.61 crore

So basically they just "Indianized" a Lamborighni!

I love it!

Honestly, no buyer is going to take this baby off-road. Someone who can afford this, can easily afford a proper SUV for his off-roading love.
However, with this, one would not have to worry much about the potholes and the mountainous speed breakers we have here.

I would rather call it a Practical sports car (for India).

Looks like a long lost relative of the Lancia Stratos. I like it.

Re: Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato launched at Rs 4.61 crore

Looks like a response to the all terrain Porsche 911. Except this just looks cheap and tacky.

Re: Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato launched at Rs 4.61 crore

This is definitely a Lambo with the lowest top speed ever.

I doubt if there will be any takers for this quirky.

Re: Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato launched at Rs 4.61 crore

Did they consult DC, particularly for those ugly, totally out of place Aux lights?

I do not understand the purpose of this launch: a supercar, with raised height, lowered top speed and with Aux lights

Is this to add practicality, or Lamborghini is running short of ideas?

Re: Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato launched at Rs 4.61 crore

Off-road supercars/hypercars are my guilty pleasure.

But Sterrato and 911 Dakar are not just guilty pleasures, but truly capable. Hoping Ferrari, Koenigsegg and more importantly Pagani follow suit.

Both Porsche and Lamborghini are VAG companies, not a response so much as a simultaneous launch. The 911 Dakar at least has heritage with the 959 being manufactured from 1986 to 1993 for homologation purposes for the Dakar rally. The Sterrato is just another body kit slapped on the same old platform by Lamborghini, something they’ve been doing with their entire lineup for over a decade now.

They are running short of ideas and want to prolong the life cycle of a money making car as long as they can before hybrid / electric becomes the mandate for them. Frankly speaking it looks very cheap and badly done. At least the 911 Dakar looks more sorted.

This is an insult to the Stratos, which was a purpose built rally car from the get go and not some poser vehicle that is barely different from the standard model.

Re: Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato launched at Rs 4.61 crore

Reminds me of some of the masterpieces designed by the world-famous 'Leepu Nizamuddin Awlia' from the series 'Leepu and Pitbull'. What powerful design! That dance of cheap plastic with expensive carbon, cheap aftermarket fog lamps with expensive projectors, such contrast, such dynamism, such element of surprise (read: shock); suddenly feel like chewing on some 'Zubaan Kesari' and then custom paint it in the evergreen shade of Gutkha Red using my own flair.

Re: Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato launched at Rs 4.61 crore

I honestly love this model. Has the quirky and outrageous feel that Lamborghini had a few decades ago and is properly mental. Even Porsche did something similar with their 911 Dakar which is also something I completely adore. Glad to see something that isn't just numbers and appeals to a complete man-child

Looks like its been designed by some famous aftermarket designer !
Too ugly, but some people go Ga-Ga over its unique and different look and show off like theres no tomorrow....

I will Pass this one please. (A Vanilla Huracan with maybe a custom paint film for me anyday)

Re: Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato launched at Rs 4.61 crore

I'm sure off-road capability is not gonna be a huge deal in the minds of the people that buy it. It's just the cool factor that matters. A 5.2l V10 supercar that looks like a rally car, that's very cool IMO.
