I think the RR fellows would really have their eyebrows up with this particular customer. I dont think as a brand they'd like their car to be used as an advertisment portal, i believe they did raise a question to this officially? Reminds me of the classic story where the maharaja used RRs as a dump truck.

Mmm... i dont know. I think its a good thing.

People are getting to see a RR in the flesh, even take rides in it.
Its giving them a taste of something that is probably unlike what they have ever experienced before, and probably making their day.

Imagine if Ardiana Lima went around the country having dinner with people. Wouldn't that be great? If her modelling agency always insisted she wear prada, but while doing this she was wearing clothes she bought on the street, i dont think it would take away much from the experience.
Infact it might even get more people to appreciate her, and see the quality goods represented by her agency.

, a lot of people who might not even see a Phantom up close, let alone sit in one are getting a chance to see the car

PLUS everyone will be talking about the Mobile Store for a long time cos of the Phantom.

Therefore IMO - a win win situation

Not got much to do with RR what the customer does with the car after they buy it... But what an ugly thing to do to such a handsome car.

Would have been less of a disaster if they'd just stuck with the red --- but the red and white is just horrible.

win - win i agree - 1 fancy car - 2 new name. Mobile store is not known - now everyone is talking about the mobile store. hence it can demand a premium. pretty funda. BEtter than investing 1 cr in TV and other campaigns. I am sure the returns are better. plus being a business - its a depreciation that they can write off... lovely idea.

It would be nicer if she came home with me for a nightcap.

Yes, it's a beautiful idea. I hear they invite you to sit inside the car as well. Though I'm sure they're paying another crore or so for fuel!

Is the car actually driving down between cities? or is being transported in some container truck. Now It is good that a common man is getting to see the splendour of Rolls, but what I am thinking is that what huge strategy there is for the ad agency that is doing this. Can they sell this car? Or will it be brought by some museum at a premium to say this majesty had rubbed shoulders with the commons.

Even in that scenario a Mobile store might not command the same legacy as that of a Maharaja (who converted a rolls to a garbage truck)

It is being driven across. No container truck or the likes. Here is when I snapped her being driven to Belgaum from Bombay RR Phantom

ok! Let's have some fun now! (I hope)

Xinome doing his usual 'thing'- Trying to see if his T-shirt matches with the Phantom's red.

Don't know who this is! From the dress, seems to be the DRIVER!

My WagonR and the phantom.

What is he doing? Well! Am not so sure...

(RR missing a wheelhub, and my car missing a wheelcap. Police suspects a guy who was seen peeping around the cars)

RACE? (- Dont ask me who won!)

PS: Xinome, really sorry I couldn't turn up. I know someone is gonna kill me in the next meet.

color combination looks like a disclaimer: those who sat in it actually were lucky enough to find the promotional vehicle. and did not own them.
