BMWs in Kolkata

I see these two BMWs quite frequently in front of my office... took these pics about a month ago, finally got the time to post them.

Dunno whether the first one's a real M-series, gurus please enlighten moi The other one's quite a beast too!!

Sorry for the poor picture quality. Will try to get better pics next time.

The one on top is a fake M, its a 323. This one is of the E30 generation cars. M3's are 2-door.

The otherone is a E32 7 series, since its displaying V12 I guess its the 750i, but am not sure whether the V12 badging should be there on it. Wheels look like 735 though.

i agree with 1100d. the 323 is not an M. M cars dont have the model numbers written on them and they come in two doors.
the 7 series is not a v12 cause BMW has the v12 badge just under the side indicator light on the front fender and not on the roof piller like displayed on this car. even the antena thing which is on the boot of the car should be on the roof atleast that is where i have seen it on most cars. the car sure does look like a 735 or a 740 and not a 750i. if i believe right the 760 is a v12. please correct me if i am wrong.

It could be a 318 or 316 too. BUt he's got the correct body kit to make it look like an M3

For E32 V12 = 750, However for the E30 I do not think the owner will put in a 323 badge by himself, if one wants to put a badge why wont he put a 328i or M3 itself.

V12 badge location idea plagiarised/confused from the W140 S600 Benz. However BMW V12 badge can be at the rear of the car beneath the left tail light.

Both cars can be seen in one shot, must have same ownership. Note the fin on the trunk of the 7 , Hilarious. Even a 735 BMW should be good enough, so why try to change its identity.

Well that's a normal E30 as pointed out by others. It can't be an M3 because the E30 M3 was only ever produced in LHD, no RHD versions were made.

Sometime back I had done a small guide on how to distinguish E30 M3's from normal E30's on another thread, see if you can find it.

Spotted what looked like a stock bottle green E39 528i at Rajarhat this morning. No pics though.

WB-02G .. so should be a 1998 car.

Nice find wim.
A thread dedicated to "exotic" machinery in Calcutta already exists.
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/super-...ports-etc.html
can these be merged?

Oh yeah, I forgot about that thread. My apologies! Mods, please merge them.

This guy (the BMW owner) also has a gorgeous white S350 and a red Octy RS. I think his company was in the jute business, no idea where he gets all this money nowadays with jute going down the drain.

Cheers
Wim

The covered ferrari is a ferrari 355 (not owned by Babi Nobis).

I believe you have the Evo II body kit on it! Are you changeing your M20 with S14 or S50? Are you gona change your diff to LSD as well?

That is a M3 body kit sold by BMW for better aerodynamics. Getting the S14 not the S50.
