Seems to be still sporting the headlamps from the older gen Hyundai Accent!

That and those side view mirrors need to go!

Looks like a decent effort none the less.

Just for your information. This is the same car, the owner bought it from bombay and took it to chennai and now she has returned to Bombay to get completed.

Re: Pics : Replica Countachs rotting in Mumbai. EDIT: One more - Running!

I doubt it's the same car.
differences i noticed
1. fuel cap not on the LHS in the same position
2. the triangular part on the door is bigger
3. rear wheel arches are different
4. lower sides are different (side skirts?)
5. intake vents a rounder
6. vents for the engine are different
7. shape of the rear looks rounded
8. handles added (to help lift the doors?)
9. windows are different
10. mounting point of wipers centered
11. LHD to RHD?
12. wheels
13. turn indicators
14. headlights( why would someone go through all that trouble and then use those lights!!!)

seems like too many difference for it to be the same car
also note the dates of post #41 and #53
looks like this is an updated kit made/assembled in India recently.

the real question is: where can we get our dream car replica built?

Agree with Dee_are_cee - this is definitely not the same car as the one rotting in Juhu. There are far too many panel and structural differences between both the cars. The Juhu one sported a corvette engine as told to me by the garage guy. I

Re: Pics : Replica Countachs rotting in Mumbai. EDIT: One more - Running!

I had seen a Countach replica at a garage near to my house in Mumbai. By looks it seemed like the kit car which was discussed in this thread. However, it was white in color (Repainted maybe). When asked about the engine, they said they had put in an original 60s Camaro engine

Also the registration of the car was quite old! I can't reveal the place and name of the garage, but does anyone have any information on this car?

Had you seen a white car being painted to yellow?
or was it being done up in a dark violet shade?

Two kit Countachs being done up in separate garages in the city.
Apparently both have old V8s in em.

Seen the violet car in person and it's kinda tacky with the Hyundai Accent headlamps, the other car has a better workmanship I've heard.

Yes. It is the one at AR motorsport. Is it the same one that is featured at the start of this thread? Or is this a different kit car? Thanks a lot

I am talking about the white one. The violet one is the one at Toyato Tech right? It has a Corvette engine IIRC. That's what the guy told me. The last time I saw it, about a few days back it was getting repainted.

It is the same car whose pictures are posted at the start of the thread. The owner of this Kit car has some other beauties too, one of them being the 308.

One of the replicas seems to be roaming the Mumbai streets now. I feel like there's something strange with the wheel arches, but looks great overall!

That's one sweet looking replica. What engine is it running? How does it sound?

That is indeed a sweet looking replica.
Fit and Finish looks top notch from the pictures.
Any clue about donor car and engine?
Was it made locally or imported?
