the car is the ex car of spiderman. that was sold in delhi and is up for sale again.
I thought the 355 was sold to the owner of Prime Focus in Mumbai for around 50-60 lakhs.

according to guys the car was sold in delhi. they also said that talks were on with the owner of prime focus but the deal did not go through. i wanted the car at that point so i was kept informed but as soon as it came to two people from the same profession i backed off. they have their own dealings.

The car was indeed sold to the Prime Focus guy. Dippy got a ride in too from the owner. Here are some pics taken in the Prime Focus office in Khar :

Here's the guy driving it in Juhu :

And here's it in his Juhu residence :

Anyone want to buy a completely modded 911 c4s 2004? haha...
if he bought it around the 50's what should be a good price to offer. there can't be too many buyers for a car like this as they would obviously consider the cost of keeping this car... or would they still be a lot of ppl going for it?

liv2drv that is an insane price the guy is asking for. for that price i would bring down the F430.
there would not be too many people in line for the car, considering it is a 97 model but a ferrari none the less. maintainance and other expenses do come into play here. i dont think it would be worth more than 30 or 35. the car is 10yrs old now.

exactly what i thought... it was 40 i was expecting. when i heard 140... i was a bit shocked. anyway, i will play the man at his own game. especially since he bought the car in the 50's himself about two years ago. I have a little plan that should bring his price down...

There's a SL55 available in Mumbai for that kind of money & it's only done 200-300 kms.

1.40 for the SL55 would be fair asking price for the negotiation to start.

just make sure the plan does not backfire if you really want the car

an SL 55 at that price is too much. If anyone wants, i can get you a new one around 1.15.

I have heard people advising that while calculating the cost of new imports in India one should usually refer UK prices and not US ones. SL55 is about 100000 pounds. Add additional 100% for duty, freight, options, bribes, dealer commission/margin. Still it would be 1.60ish new , isnt it ?
My assumptions may be wrong somewhere. Feel free to correct it.

1.15 cr seems a good figure when we do the math with US prices which is $130000 approx.
