@ Sahil: Ya, first service has been done. It was scheduled for 1200 Kms but came a bit early on my car, I'm guessing because it was started a number of times and not really taken to full operating temperature (before I bought it). So the first service is where all the fluids and filters are replaced. The gear-change feels a bit smoother now. Now comes the hard part, driving her gently even though the first service has been done, she is, after all, only 900 Kms old!

@ Jesal: No dude, that garage is in Pune. My Bombay garage was earlier described as 'a tractor shed' lol!

@ Payam: They recommend Castrol

Congrats for treating her gently so far.

I appreciate your reply to all the queries.

Getz/ Mondeo and now M3. I like your taste.

Right, so after much waiting and asking around at the various RTOs, there's no MH RTO with an xM series number plate at the moment. So it looks like I'm just gonna go with a plain vanilla number, because honestly, I couldn't be bothered with waiting any longer for my white plates! :(

Most of the RTOs are running Bx series, which pretty much makes Hx a VERY distant dream. Even going from BD to BM I'm told is quite a wait, so it's not looking likely... :(

I went to the Auto Expo today and felt (touched) the M3. Its a dream machine (thats the least I can say). The video that those guys play on two LCD show panels show the M3 getting ready for a run and then roaring all the way to supremacy.
It sure is THE CAR. I am already dreaming of a day when I woul ddrive this baby on 5 days to work and go for a toss on weekends. I so LOVE this car.

KBK - Cheers once again man! ENJOY

Uh-oh that would be me! Sorry again about that and I sincerely apologise if you were offended, I was merely jesting.. with such a perfect car, what else was left to be said!
FWIW, your Pune garage with those arches over the entrance looks great and is exactly what I had in mind!

Not read through all the posts in the thread so not sure if i've missed this query , but - would you say the car is well adapted to Indian conditions? i.e. stuff like ground clearance, ambient temperatures, etc etc. I'm tempted to ask 'mileage kitna?' , but I would not want to be stoned out here

Great car once again! And I'm sure friends of mine can testify to the fun we've had driving it on the PC simulator - BMW M3 Challenge : m3challenge: Home (P.s: This is a simulator in the true sense, so don't come away disappointed if you can't do your NFS style drifting)

I thought that the M engine had its first service at 2000 km and then at 5000km. 900 seems way to early for the first service. Also, now with the M DKG, do you still prefer the Manual or would have wanted the DKG? The E92 looks insane and is one of my favourite BMW's right now. The E90 looks absolutely horrid next to the new C and the E92.
