Seen this 735 Li Juhu near Tulip Star (former Centaur). Owned by a minister. Notice the red beacon on top.

I have suddenly seen increase in number of 7 series in Pune. And most of them are Pune registered, looks like many Mercedes buyers are going for BMW these days

I would have also picked the new 7 series if not for the new S class release in india..I think the new S class is just as good and better and the trim level they have speced out in india is superb with screens on the headrest to memory seats at the back and front and parktronic, distronic etc.. its cool..

but i still think 7 looks very macho and is suited for younger generation than the s class, it suited my dad..if in india i would either pick the 7 or the ClS..depending..

"Latest latest"obesession - now see the masses flock to the new S class, then watch them flock back to the next 7 series and so on

Ya its true.. lot of people are going for the BMW, we witnessed record sales last year.. that is highest in our last TEN yrs..but now the new S could prove a threat.. but then again a Bee M is a Bee M, even in my trip to Delhi this month i saw an astonishing amount of 740's and 750's.. and a couple of new S Mercs.. some guys have all the luck!!

Hey MAV since this is BMW related topic I wanted to ask you why aren't there many takers for 5 series? or even 3 series? (C-class buyers)

3-Series is a problem because og homologation asking the car to be 3.0l and above & greater than $40,000 in value. The 5 series is a rarity because when you try to import a 5 er through the CBU route it becomes very costly and then its better to go for the 7 series.

All of this will change though as BMW has opened up its factory in the south somewhere and are planning on starting production from next year I think. Then you will see a slew of 3ers and 5ers on indian roads with the pricing very competitive to the current C and E classe.
