I still dont get the point of acceleration figures of Suvs. Its not a part of their food (though some suvs can rip apart the acceleration figures of sportscars). Do we see how offroad a saloon or a sportscar can go??
They are not meant for acceleration but to tackle roads on which sportscars or saloons will feel shameful to travel!
Maybe you don't believe in acceleration figures for an SUV. But there's nothing wrong in asking which LC model is the fastest. If you know it, then let us know, if you don't, then let someone else answer.

Lol..!! I am not at all complaining abt this particular landcruiser thing. Nothing wrong in asking which model is faster...but wat i wanted to say is its totally useless to discuss abt 0-100s abt any suvs!!!
Btw... some Sultan in Middle East has a 700bhp LandCruiser which has some immense acceleration!!

See that wasn't hard, now was it LOL.

740 bhp for offroading? fat chance!!

The owner wanted a SUV capable of 300 kmph.

Gotta love these guys for one thing, they are the ultimate performance freaks. I wont be surprised if tomorrow, i read an article saying that a guy got his Mclaren F1 Turbo Charged.

Nice find Gordy.

Got to check out an LX470 recently. Took some pics of it. Almost all the LX470's you see over here are re-badged Landcruisers. The give-away is the interior and the exhaust smell. The interiors will still have the toyota badging and the exhaust will throw diesel fumes. For you all know that Lexus does not have any diesel models. Also the "Indian" LX470 does not have side airbags / and vehicle height adjustment (whatever you call it in Lexus terms) which are standard on the Lexus. The Lexus also features Telescopic Steering which is missed out on the cheaper LC.

Badged as a Lexus.

Interiors still baded as a Toyota.

The only ones sold in UK are the toyota Cygnus, which is the Jap version and these are whats brought to india and sold as LX470 rebadged .
My Cherokee with the 4.0 litre engine does 8.0 seconds 0-100 and atop speed of 190kmph and its fun. SUV means it has to have lot of power and torque.

I saw two Toyota Landcruisers being tested in worli last month. They had a big sticker 'ON TEST" with red MH number plates. Seems like Toyota is going to start making them locally, would be a wise decision seeing the number of imports here already.

If you mean the ride height adjustment through the suspension then I was lucky to have a small ride in a Lexus (or whatever) LX470 which had a function to adjust the height of the car.

The best acid test to find out about these SUVs is to remove the flap covering the Fuse Box .. On it there is also the year and month of manufacturing of the car and the make .. So no one can get duped on the manufacture year as well .. Info given to me by a big car importer ...

Some more points to be noted in the LX470 / Landcruiser :

Toyota name on the glass.

Lexus badge and twin lights on the front.

Only sigle cluster tail lights whereas the LX470 has twin. Also theres Landcruiser and Lexus written together
