Red E36 "M3"! =)

Here are some pics of a red E36 Beemer with M3 badges on it. I'm not convinced!

The other day I also came across a silver E36 328i that was all decked-up to look like an E36 M3. In fact I even saw a 730ld that was badged as a 760Li! Wonder what's with these guys!?

P.S. Mods, I had to go through 26 pages of Imports to see if there were any threads on an E36 M3, because the term E36 M3 or BMW M3 is too short to search for on this forum. Isn't there a way to allow a shorter character search?

Incorrect Mirrors, Alloys & Bodykit! Not to mention exhaust too! Don't know why people indulge in such things.

Recent iother spottings of this kind have been a fake RHD E30 M3 in Calcutta & another E36 in Delhi which is a convertible!

IIRC, after the last upgrade the search function supported boolean searches of 3 letters or more, maybe something's changed now. Rehaan/GTO, any news on this??

Sorry, it's NOT an E36 M3 Evo. It's a poor knock-off.

The mirrors are 318 style. The rear bumper is 318 style. The front bumper is 318 style. The alloys are not original BMW rims. The exhaust is not original. There are some look-alike skirts and some well placed M stickers and that's it.

So, if you're so sure it's an E36 Evo, I'm assuming you know the owner? If that's the case, bring it out onto the roads...with a 320bhp engine it should run my E92 M3 pretty close, but I'm willing to bet it'll run more akin to my 2.0 Mondy! :P

And while we're at it, quit typing in caps, it's rude.

ARM - You have some pics of the engine or something else to prove that claim?? Because from the pics, it pretty much looks like a standard 3-series with M-badges plastered on it.

The only way it can be is if it had an engine transplant. Even then its half baked because the body bits are missing. Only underhood pics will prove it.

Hey, even putting an M3 engine into a vanilla 3 series body does not make it an M3! Let's not forget there are extensive chassis stiffening, suspension, steering, braking, transmission, cooling and various other changes that make an M3 what it is.
