fireblade and supercar- you guys are living the dream! i think its great that you are bringing these beauties to our shores, keep em coming! its encouraging to see so many ferraris, and one would think its only a matter of time before someone (one of us from tbhp perhaps) opens a proper track where the owners and spectators can truly appreciate what these machines are capable of. Good business idea?

Yeah, it's an idea I've had over and over again. Whether or not it's a good business idea is another matter though.

what would the economics be though? i mean, how do the tracks in the UK/US work? off the top of my head, the primary cost would be land and construction (one time thing), with the monthly cost component not being too high (maintenance, etc). a per lap fee, or a time-based fee would probably be fine... since the target market is the people with fast cars, one could assume that they could afford to pay in the thousands for these sessions? does anyone know how the track in chennai operates?

You've pretty much hit it with your first point - Land. Anywhere near Bombay land is scarce and expensive. To get the amount of land you'd need to make a half-way decent track would involve crores of rupees before you even put a shovel to earth. That's where the economics just don't add-up because there just isn't enough of a market. It would need to be heavily sponsored AND have a high-enough demand, for instance organised racing every month to even begin to have a slight feasibility over 10-15 year window.

Those Tubis make the car so much better . Its like you want to pull the car to hear the sweet sound . I wish i can hear this car in person on a dyno . Have seen too many on youtube that have given me goosebumps.
