Maybe the vintage cars in his garage have a flying gear. You never know.

He's well known for spoiling cars.

Spotted this S350 near Dhaula Kuan while stuck in a huge Jam for over an hour today.

This merc had a VIP number 1111. Sorry for the bad pictures due to rain and darkness.

Note from Mod : In the future please avoid posting cars in the Imports thread of large citys where they are commonly seen. This instance has been retained since the following few posts do add some interesting information. Thanks.

Of course it is. It's here through the CBU route. Mercedes does not assemble the S in India. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Are you sure that the S320cdi and the S350 are SKDs and are assembled in India? I have my doubts. Anyway I will look it up.

Edit: I stand corrected. The S350 is assembled in India.

I have had the 350 and the 500 so i knew because the merc people told me that the 350 is assembled here and the 500 is an import as it was a heck of wait for the 500 due to the massive ticking of the options list .

Actually all three of you'll are right and wrong. The S350 and S 320 cdi is a CBU and also CKD assembled at the Charkand plant. Now before you all jump the gun and argue let me explain.
The S350 and the S320 cdi's you see with the Panoramic roofs are CBU's. these have options you can choose and take longer time for delivery just like the S500 and 600 or the S 63 and 65. The normal S's you see are the ones assembled here.

@ Accord Masters i guess you forgot to ask the Merc people about the Panoramic Sunroof for the 350 or the 500, otherwise they would have told you to order the 350 and this too would have had a long wait .

Wow, that is some interesting information there! Thanks! I always knew that the S was a CBU. But something was fishy! I had heard that they would assemble a certain variant in India. Was never too sure on which one that would be!

@ speedy - my S500 got all the options you can find on the list ...except the keyless go , so ya got the panoramic roof on the 500 and at the time of the 350 was in a hurry to take the delivery so no picking stuff for the list.
