Yes I was that BHPian. Both the pics were taken on the same day, same place.

Yes, my office is in Gopaldas Bhawan. This said car is generally parked bang opposite to my office. It's the parking on outer circle. Along with this, there is a S500 and few others parked.

The XJ you are mentioning is also very much visible many times during the day. It commutes in and around Connaught Place during the day time.

Today I saw the XJ near Mandi House round about. Its totally a drool stuff.

Hold on to your eyes because this pictures will blow you away. So I am in Gurgaon and was on my way back when I saw the Ducati showroom and decided to pay it a visit. Those bike surely are awesome but I did not know the real SURPRISE would be waiting for me in the parking lot. On the way out of the car park,there were many mercs and bmws parked. This particular one was hiding in the corner and as I was about to cross it, I saw something which forced me to stop my car and take a closer look at this particular BMW. It was a V 12 badge on the side of the car. I parked my car quickly and ran to it only to find out that it indeed is, yes you guessed it, BMW GT M V12 series. Man is it huge and bulky. I was actually intimidated by the sheer size of it and also the V12 badge. Well thats about it rest of the story will be told by the pictures I just clicked

How come I am not aware of a BMW GT-M-V12?
seems strange with a merc look alike V12 badge!

Hey! Unless I'm completely off, there is no M version of the GT, and definitely no v12 under that hood.

The GT only comes with a Inline 6 (Petrol and Diesel) and a twin turbo V8.

highly unlikely that its a V12.. i guess its a mod job by the owner.. ive never heard of the GT M ever coming out.. and even if this is a new car, undergoing testing, (of all the places for an M to undergo testing, in India, rather than the ring) it would have at least some camo.. but then again i could be wrong..

It did seem wierd but from looks of it, its pretty real. Or I guess I have been spoofed. :(

Badge job! This the normal 5 GT - 550i I guess is the only one sold here. One of a hundred earmarked for India.

This may be the normal 5GT because I thought an M will atleast have dual side exhaust pipes . But what about the sunroof? Does the normal GT come with this type of sunroof??

Its a fake badging of M and V12 on a 530D GT.

Anyone can do anything today. Today I even saw a grey W212 E 250 CDI elegance with a E 63 V12 badge on trunklid.

Yes I don't know how I missed that. Every M series has 4 exhaust pipes these days. It is fake and I am very sad also

This is a normal GT for sure.

Reason
1) Brakes are ordinary.
2) There would be an M emblem on the front side, just below the side view mirrors.
3) There are no sporty side,front or back skirts.
4) There are no quad sport Exhaust.
4) I'm sure the interiors would also not have sports seats with the M badging also.

Oh come on, that is a plain jane 530D GT nothing more!!

@Mustangman - I never knew BMW offering the 550i GT in India. I thought all were 530Ds.

The rims pictured above are optional and I have seen them on couple of GTs from Chennai (One black and one White).

The biggest blunder done by this guy, That V12 badge is unmistakably Merc!
