But, are you sure on the GT3 part? From what I've heard the GT3 exports are halted. There is already a pending booking from Kerala for like the past 6-7 months and when a friend of mine wanted to order one, he was told to wait until they know for sure what's the status on the first one and he settled for a Carrera S instead.

That might mean the Turbo S will leave.
AFAIK GT3's will land in India by this year's end. And his is pending since a year, all thanks to the burn-happy GT3 engines

Are we talking about the RS5 here? Then a 6+ kmpl is a rarity(light foot on the highway with no traffic then just mayyybe 6.5). In the city with a light foot in comfort(there is no particular "efficiency mode") you could manage 5-5.5 which is decent for an engine of that size.

However this is not a car you buy to drive with a light foot at all times, it begs you to floor it so an avg FE would be around 4.5 in mixed driving styles.

3kmpl is on the lower side probably under very hard driving and/or heavy traffic.

was this at 3M east of kailash? I think I spotted this yesterday evening..

@speedy: I dont think with a car like that you drive in an efficiency mode

and specially if the car is not a daily drive car
also the car returned a mileage of 5 kmpl on highway, it was in dehradoon and back now.

I agree. I compared them as we dont get the RS6 in India. I think Audi India also tried to sway prospective M5 and E63 buyers to consider the RS5. It is a good 50-60 BHP and as many Nm of torques lower than the M5 and the E63. So no comparison.

I don't think one always get space to be heavy footed with the cars, at least i don't.

If its a once in a while driver, then i understand. I was mentioning from the point of it being a daily driver. My S4 on efficiency mode with a light foot returns 8.5 and in comfort with mix footings gives 5-5.5 and in dynamic gives 2.5-3 kmpl.
