Yes they do.
Since they are imported they need to be registered again in India.

Honestly speaking, these pictures really make the car look bad. No off... Ishan. I think also the fact the car had been used all day and had not been cleaned may be the reason she was looking so shabby. I'll post some pics as soon as i get her back. Gone for some repairs.

this rule applies to every import not just hummer and cadillacs

even mercs and toyotas, thats why we have less number of exotics in the country

we are not poor but the heavy taxes make such cars not affordable to indians

Yes i know....that all cars are expensive, I guess the shock of the hummer just hit me because a buddy of mine bought a hummer h2 for $30k which is like 13lakhs or so!!!!! imagine that...its a used one but still.

I know it sucks, we have less exotics, seeing the financial muscle of several Indians.

Ohh I'm the last guy to call us poor, did you read my posts in "Myopic western world" thread?

Imported Cars seen in Delhi over the past few years

I saw a snow white Toyota GTR yesterday at the M-Block market. These dudes were trying to find a parking spot. WOW! she's gorgeous. Was unable to see the model properly. I think it was a Celica GTR but am not sure. but she was a beauty.

Wish I had a camera then to take quick pic of her.

Had passed by this 911 the other day, the black on black is stunning, and the exhaust note is pretty loud!

It's not a Countach but a Jalpa. Silver with Red interiors and with one of the ORVM's broken & hanging loose! Belonged to the owner Late Mr. Bharat Suri but of late has been nothing but a show piece in the porch. Don't know whether it even runs now ir not and on a recent trip to the hotel it was missing from its usual place.

I recently saw a bright yellow 911 turbo at the petrol pump beside priyas. when i went to take a snap of it with my phone, the guard just stood in front of me and told me, that I wasnt allowed to. I so wanted to give it good to him about the right to freedom and stuff, but then I saw his built, I meekly went away.

When I was returning, I saw the owner get into it. A 6 foot person with a very beautiful gorgeous lady, I wondered how he got in soo easily and then I saw the beauty (referring to the 911 turbo ) drive away in a purr. I was soo hoping that he would atleast rev her a bit so i could hear her howl. But Alas! that wasnt to be.

cheers:
