re: Supercars & Imports : Chennai

Unlike in other cities in India, Chennai's supercar owners never drive their cars on the roads, it seems. What do they do with these cars?. Keep them in garages, do pooja and show them off to the select few?.Anyways, they have a right to do what they want with their property, i guess. And, i do admire Manish for his boldness in approaching these folks and getting them to allow him to take pics of their posh rides. Eagerly awaiting pics from Manish.

Is this the "new" X5?.

+1 there! To top all that, you guys are THE only people blessed with a proper track to put these beasts to their pace. Sigh! I can't see many utilizing their boon other than a select few like jagxf, mlcarrera, the sparkling graphite M3 guy and the R8 guy. for you all.

Btw, will someone take the trouble to PM me who got the LP560 if you have a problem mentioning it on the forum?

And what news about the mysterious California which reportedly share garage with the Yellow LP640, is it confirmed?

EDIT: @nick- That very much is the new FL X5. Cues, the circular fog lamps below the headlamp, revised tail lamps with the signature BMW 'L' lights, new rim options and new color options. Something tells me this X is a petrol, the diesel FL X5s I saw had different rims and these are very identical to the ones on the post FL petrol X5.

^^^ Thanks @Scorcher. I still can't tell the difference between the 'old' and 'new' , really. The "California" must be in "California" or in a showcase in someone's living room. Or, it must be owned by someone related or affiliated to Mr. A Raja and then it must really be in California now. They're the only kind of people in Chennai who can afford to buy these cars.

Scorcher-those rims are available as an option, even for the diesel versions.

re: Supercars & Imports : Chennai

Naice shots there manish, is it black or a kind of Bournville shade?

More over, there is utterly NO WAY to distinguish a petrol XJ from a diesel one, in case of the XF, we at least had the multi-spoke of the XFS to say apart. I'm clueless!
