Quite made up for the disappointment of the A8 the other day.

My wife pointed out, it was being driven by a woman.

Saw the same car this morning near the Sidapet signal all the way till Guindy. PY registration right?
And yeah, a woman was driving it, with a cell glued to her ear!

Watch out for a brand new Bentley Continental Flying Spur - White !

EDIT : The 650i being spoken of, does it bear a registration number which is supposed to signify 650i ?

I agree. Even here in Bangalore I find a lot of Mercs, Bimers and Audis registered in PY. I believe the taxes are substantially lesser compared to the metros. Surely lesser than Bangalore as we have the highest road taxes in the country.

No Robesh. I havent noticed a lot of imports with PY. Sorry if I was not clear. I meant a lot of expensive rides have PY registration. Am quite sure even Pondy itself does not have so many such expensive cars as what Bangalore has with PY registration.

Even i have seen quite a few rides wih PY reg and as ya mentioned it is very very cheap compared to other state taxes. But somehow i feel it is MP reg which is fav for these supercar guys. And i dont think it is just for saving taxes.

Whoaa ! Nice snaps. That definetly looks like Harris Jayaraj's Maserati GranTurismo. Guess he got the wheels changed to a Stock Maserati GranTurismo S rims which have been powder coated to black. Looks hot though !

OT: I am still confused if this a plain jane 4.2ltr V8 GranTurismo or a 4.7ltr V8 GranTurismo Automatic ! The only way to prove it is to look under the hood.

It's the Automatic!

Check this post out: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/super-...ml#post2211400

EDIT: Sorry, misunderstood. All the GT's come with Autoboxes

Anekho, probably for the umpteen time I am mentioning it on this forum. I agree all GranTurismos are Semi-Automatics but there is a Variant of the GranTurismo which is based on the 4.7 V8 Gran Turismo S, which comes with a different type of Automatic Transmission and is called the "Gran Turismo S Automatic". There is absolutely no difference in the Visual cues of a normal GranTurismo and the Gran Turism S Automatic. The only way to differentiate them visually is through the rims and also when you pop the hood. Please refer to my links to have a proper understanding of what I mean.

Maserati GranTurismo S Automatic - Technology

EDIT: Just found out through the Maserati Website, these are the MC Sportline Wheels and this car is not a GT Automatic as it originally came with Normal GT Rims. End of Discussion.
