Saadat ,
Actually those were chrome finish paint. It's a pretty complex paint process not to mention expensive.

Re: Supercars & Imports : Chennai

I think there has been the occasional actual-gold car. The ultimate in senseless bling: to create a car body many times the weight of the standard, and with no thought as to whether the material is actually physically suitable or not.

That's a thing of past. Now, even sheikhs resort to wraps. Here is Nasser Al Thani's Arancio Argos Aventador wrapped in Matte Fuschia.

Isn't that the Oakley Design Edition ? Doesn't he have another one in his trademark blue color ?

There's a new glitzy store coming up on KNK Road and Harris Jayaraj is visiting it now.

Go over and gawk at the angle of the slope his Lamborghini negotiated from the road to the parking

I passed by the same car at the same location a couple of days back in the evening. But went too ahead of it without realizing what it is. It looked mildly ok when I saw it (in the evening) , but now in daylight looks bad

Realised what a true muted rumble means early this morning...

Yes, Nasser does have another Oakley Design Aventador, but it is Verde Ithaca, not his trademark Turquoise. He seems to be done with the color, he sold of his Turquoise CCX.

This BMW 7 Series was wrapped by Motormind Automotive Designs in Bangalore, at least that's what their Facebook page shows, they've put up a pic of this very same car and said that it was the biggest thing they've done so far. Although the colour in their pic looks better than the colour in your pics you have posted I think it is the same one.
Slightly off topic but they recently did a F10 BMW 5 Series in Black Chrome, it has M badges, M wheels and an M bodykit so it might be the normal kitted 5 or even an M5.

Here is the link:

Re: Supercars & Imports : Chennai

I'd be tempted to do this with something more modest. A gold maruti would be wonderful!

Anyway, I'm very happy with the actual colour of my Polo, but still curious: what is the approximate price of such a "wrap?"

I would prefer gold chrome or silver chrome over black chrome as they actually shine and are like a mirror, black chrome is just confused, but then again, each to his own.
I don't know about the prices but it changes according to quality, manufacturer, colour, texture and even the person who installs it.

i've never seen a chrom-black wrap.. sounds interesting. Where in Delhi can you get a wrap done?
Maybe you could get a gold and silver rawap done instead!!! (joke)
