they own a lot of cars..they have two 7's too...the arnage doesn't come out that often..

I still believe Chennai can host an import/supercar show and owners need not necessarily show up with their cars, as in the Mumbai supercar show. No one knew the real owners of more than half the cars displayed. I'm sure if the message was spread that this show will add to the varied motorsports scene here in Chennai, as also act as an image booster for the city as an attractive market for upscale and sporty cars, there will be more than willing participation. Luxury car manufacturers too can display their regular and specialist cars to attract an audience. I hope someone who can put it together reads this thread. I say the cities other than Mumbai should try to do the same. The Mumbai show was an eyeopener as it showed the enormous interest in automobiles not only among the so-called elite , but also among the average person and it was great to see everyone getting together and enjoying the exhibits. Cheers!.

Sad day indeed!. I hope you buy an even better exotic of choice and share pics with us. I spotted these today, just by accident. I never go looking for these cars else I would have crashed into something/someone a long time ago!.Spotting is risky business.

Sorry to hear about your loss mlcarrera. I'm sure someone (something) new will walk (drive) into your life and make up for it.

Out of curiosity, when you drove from Chennai to Bangalore, the car was bound to run out of 97 Oct right? Since all bunks don't store 97 Oct, what did you do? Filled it up with normal petrol?

mlcarrera it was a pleasure meeting you and your lovely family,I am sure you will soon have another beauty in your stable, to replace the one you so generously gave up.
God bless.

f450 to answer your question, mlcarrera's 911 performed flawlessly all the way from Chennai to Bangalore, albeit in wet conditons, ( a genuine tribute to an impeccably maintained car from a true gentleman) and ended with a surplus of 171 km. running left in her ,off a full tank of Speed 97 fuel after covering 360+ km.

mlcarrera - Do post pictures of your trip on the 911 to Bangalore... eagerly waiting to see the car you are getting next...

Guys - The Chettinad group has added a green Range Rover to their fleet. Been seeing it for over a month now but still haven't managed a snap. The colour suits the SUV really well.

I don't think mlcarrera meant that he was on his way to b'lore in the carrera but meant that the new owner was in the carrera when the pics were taken at the petrol bunk.

Hi everyone,911987 and I came back from chennai to Bangalore last night in mlcarreras 911.we woke up at 3 am and went to chennai to meet mlcarrera. We managed to get out of the city by 530pm.the only thing that kept me awake through the drive was the cars acceleration and the sound of the engine.
Tonite I was lucky enough to get my first drive, ofcourse my dad was there to supervise.it was unlike anything I have felt before.I felt it was as easy as an 800 to drive in traffic and I used the acceleration on a flyover.it's a beast!!!
Needless to say I'll be waking my dad at 5 tomorrow morning for part 2.
Cheers!!!

Thanks for the welcome Unknownsatan.Good guess, yes the 911 is now with us.My son will be posting more frequently than me. My main reason for posting was to acknowledge and appreciate the way mlcarrera dealt with us.Good luck.
