Approximately how much would an MKIV Supra cost?

If you can find a stock one, you're looking to pay around 15 and under 20, for an NA version. Autos will be slightly cheaper than manuals. Twin turbo manual 6-speeds, the cream of the lot, will be approximately 20.

The engines are bulletproof, and spares are easily available. Look out for running gear, crashes, and the like.

How is it that spares are easily available?
Also I would like to know, many people in India have modified their Supra's to churn out 750, 800bhp etc. Doesn't this affect the engine's life with that kind of load on it?

For a guy sitting in the U.S., that is 15-20 lakh's?

Not sure how it's possible that they are readily available, but he is right, they are out there.

And if the car is tuned well, at 750-800whp, it'll be good for a while. They are a very strong motor as long as the tune is proper. Start pushing it past that point and you may start to shorten the life a bit.

Yes. Lakhs. (For the benefit of other intl. readers - Rs 100,000 = 1 lakh).

So how much do you think a car in this kind of condition would fetch??

I suppose v1p3r quoted the approximate price in India and not the U.S.

v1p3r posted the prices of a supra in decent/good condition. Not this "flood-damaged" peice in particular, which is what i am asking about (to the people that did get a chance to see the pictures).

Well, to begin with, there is a lot of aftermarket support for this engine, in terms of performance parts. Second, Indian Toyota dealers, atleast in BLR, are able to service the car, and provide certain spares.

The 2JZ turbo mill is known to be capable of 1000 hp with stock internals. I'm guessing the life isn't that much of an issue, if it can do this. I've seen BPU schemes take them to 500 hp, and that's pretty impressive for us brought up on a diet of Suzukis.

Thanks for the info. buddy. And I hope the price (Rs.15-20lakh) that you quoted was of an MKIV Supra on Indian soil...just to confirm.
