8,610,000YEN = 45,89,124INR and

9,240,000YEN = 49,40,242INR according to the current exchange rates.

add another 2500USD for shipping and insurance, 110% for customs+road tax+insurance+the dealer handling charges.

So you will be easily looking at upward of 1Crore for people who have not booked the car before the 3rd of december.

And fireblader there are no fines or penalties as the type approval certificate which was supposed to be acquired from the country of origin has now been lifted and the car which is upward of $40,000 and a 3000cc engine in petrol and 2500cc in diesel needs only to meet EU Regulations.SO no type approval certificate is needed anymore.Check the new revised regulations.
Why such an increase in the price?
Wasn't it somewhere around 33 lakhs?

It was an introductory price, many factors including the rise in cost of raw material caused them to raise it later.
It's still incredible value for money, remember you're talking about a vehicle that offers GT2, F430 Scuderia performance.

Yes.I agree. For a car with such specifications 1C is great value for money.

There were too many models of the skylines, but the retail prices varied from about $30,000 to $50,000.Now suddenly the GTR does not look as promising as it was with the huge price rise. Can acttually buy an old R33 or R34 skyline and do it up.Would work out much cheaper.

Indeed. Buying a prev. gen. GTR and souping it up would cost half or less than half of the on road price of the new GTR in India(subject to availability though, else you might have to import one) and not to mention the fact that the R33 and R34 look much better than the current gen.(at least in terms of their fronts if not tails-my opinion entirely).

one can never compare a modded one to stock factory reliability. Also, one needs to consider how much more the R35 offers over the R34. There surely is a valid reason for dropping the Skyline tag too.

Is the nissan showroom also offering warranty on the car. Are they selling the premium or the base version?

By the way, that silver GTR is really being enjoyed, I must say. It's being thrashed at Reclamation very regularly indeed. It's out there as we speak. Sounds gorgeous, maybe an exhaust job or something. It's quite a sight to take in, the way that thing takes off.

Hey guys, spotted a white MP regd. Toyota Supra in Bandra today on the road opposite to IIPM. Was having a dekko when the owner appeared. Asked him whether it was stock or tuned and he said stock. He said he also owns a tuned Supra, 2008 GTR and SL 55 AMG. Mind-blowing collection to say the least. These were the ones he mentioned, I wasn't in my senses to ask him which other ones he owns after hearing the above names. He was very kind to oblige when I asked him to revv it.
