I usually like white cars, but the GT3 looks awful in this shade.

I'll agree, not the best colour, but what a beast.

Spotted: White Porsche 997 GT3

Been seeing a white Porsche 997 GT3 in the past week at Juhu. Had limited view all the time since I was in the bus. I think it is the GT3, because it probably had this bumper and lights.

Will have to be more attentive next time round.

Can be a kit, the Poonawalla's yellow car also has the kit. Confirmation can only be done if you see the badge, wheels & central exhaust pipes.

Confirmation can be done only if you open the hood.

There are so many posers out there, you can get the kit along with badges,wheels,exhaust,etc... will be hard to spot original from fake.
There are kits being offered to me to convert my 5 series into an M5 lookalike..complete body kit, 166m wheels even the fenders and quad exhausts... there is no way you would be able to differentiate it from a regular M5 if parked...likewise with Porsche.

Update, seen the Poonawalas one couple of times, after it was sold by the Showroom, but now with painted black alloys on her.Looks much more menacing now IMO>

i heard there is a gt2 in Bombay still at the port.
The thing i dnt get is... you're buying a car worth 2+ cr... why bring it in by sea???
the diff in air frate is about 3L. it saves the car going through all that bull, and you get your car in 3-4 days cleared and ready to go. Just dont understand tis. anyway, get ready for the GT2!

sahil i was planning on doing that to my 5 when i had one. Of course i would leave the original badging or nothing at all. the Kit isn't too exp apart from the wheels.
The Porsche kits are even moe common and much cheaper. around $1200 you can get the whole front end to look like a gt3.

I always wanted to get an M5 and take of all the badging for some reason.

Note from Mod :
1. Please take the time to type out your posts in full words as per Team-BHP rules. Avoid the use of SMS language (tis = this, dnt = dont, etc)
2. Please use the "EDIT" button to add to your last post instead of posting consecutive posts within 20minutes of each other. (Also look for "quoting multiple posts" in the Team-BHP FAQ on the top bar.)

i may be wrong, but isnt the GT2 coming in for the poonawallas, in lieu of the Yellow 997 they sold?

Yes, but the wheels are the main part.If anything i want to get just the 166m wheels to start with and perhaps go in for the AC schintzer kit instead or even the Mtech one is pretty good.... but only after i get a DMS/PSi remamp done and boost the torque to 500nm+...coz if you got an aggressive kit on it, you better have something more aggressive under the hood, just my view...i hate the fake posers! But i am happy with the power for now, so will take the plunge in due time.
