ps: dont know if it was just a badge .. but damn that was one beauty of a car ...

A black S500 (140 series) spotted in Calicut. It was having a flag post & 18" or 19" crom-wheels with flat tyres..'EMC' letters were pasted opp to the S500 lable..altogether it was gorgeous loking

I am desperately looking to buy a W140 S600. I don't want a 500 or a 320 but a 600. Please let me know if someone is selling or knows someone who can hook it up.

ive been offered a pristine, low mileage, direct import, one owner, company owned 1993 S280 with Delhi plates, white in colour with leather etc (no pwr seats and not an L) for 4.75 lacs? what say? Tempting na?

Very tempting! Simply because of the name, it's size, cute little engine (still big in comparison to most other cars though), scope for slight upgrades, workhorse attitude and LEATHER!

It's pristine, it's got low miles, it's got all the goodies. If you don't want it...I'm there

Spotted a pristine black W140 S600 V12 with chrome alloy wheels and black tints. The car was immaculate. Had a yellow CC numberplate on it. Talk about bling!

Not tempting. The early W140s (until 1995) were electronic nightmares. Too unsorted. Avoid like a plague.

Pls correct me if I am wrong , but isnt the yellow plates consulate one which is an S600 V12,dark blue? fitted with the Lorinser wheels/kit, seen around for quite a while on Mumbai roads, there also happens to be a Black S600 at Worli Seaface with Mumbai Plates..

See this car everyday now. My all time Fav S class.

If for some reason something did go wrong, I am sure the car would not feel like a bargain anymore.

Does anybody have an idea of the availability and prices of spare parts for the W140 (S320, S500, S600) ? Just to get a rough idea since I am getting very tempted to get one...

Happened to spot a 1985 w126 280 S for sale on ebay for 5.19L with 85K on the clock.

I have seen that car on the forum and I am pretty sure it was MH reg.

eBay India: MERCEDES (item 190206767012 end time 14-Apr-2008 15:07:25 IST)

It seems someone from Gujarat bought it and is now selling it on.

A re-spray for 5.6L at Auto Hangar...

Any thoughts ???
