LP640 is a sports car and 599 is a GT. The 599 is heavier than LP640. Really cant compare both of them, just because the power output is somewhat close (620 vs 633)
I feel 599 or LP640 are not the cars for India. Yeah, it sounds very damn good to say "Yeay dude, Aa own a 599 or a LP640." But the car is never driven to its true potential. So drags and other formats of racing are pointless to discuss.

Go answer that to the person who asked the question. I was answering ,not questioning.

Same way Porsche's , Audi's and Bentleys ain't made for India. I agree to some extent with your views.
Regarding driving the car to its true potential. No super/sports/hyper car can ever be driven "To it's true potential" on any civic road. Period.

If one wants to drive a car to its potential, take it to the race track.

The whole point of luxury is getting more than what is required. If you look at it this way, no driver on planet earth requires more than 100 Bhp.. That is enough for daily/normal use. So to each his own. Any where in the world one says, I drive a 599 or the LP, it elicits the same response.

P.S - Mods ensure proper language usage, which does not mean that we use perfect punctuation. You say " its a obvious thing" .
Rectified as " Its an obvious fact"

I know, the second part was pretty much "an obvious" answer.

You are missing my point. 599 and LP640 are just name. As you agree that they cannot be driven to their potential hence choosing or liking a car purely because its 0.5 secs faster is rubbish!

And Porsches are the best daily drivers. Audis some of them are good. Cant drive R8 to work everyday. And Bentleys are luxury cars, not meant to be driven at 220 kmph, everyday!

If the car is taken from England to France and further ahead. I guess the purpose of it being a GT is served! So...

Spotted the 599 last night on carter road and then at bandstand. The engine note is phenomenal.

Amazing import Fireblader!!

I cannot resist to say that the coolant tank cap is EXACTLY the same as the one offered on the Palio and other Fiat cars.

EXCLUSIVE PICTURES: Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano in Mumbai EDIT: More pics on pg 5-cap0.jpg

The same cap is also offered in the Ferrari 612's that were touring India.

I just love those beige interiors and the sporty steering. Looks cute from the front. Would love to see the car in flesh ripping around and creating music on the streets.
