anyways i dont think bmw' gonna sell enough m3'sin the country with this shape .. the older one was still 60 odd but at 85 and this shape, i'd rather put my money on an sl or 911 ..
3 coupes/M3s ofcourse have always looked like that.Almost all coupes that originated from a sedan for that matter looks like that .I am surprised that BMW is pricing it in the SL/911 category though(if I got you currectly). Here in the US even 911 carrera is more expensive than the M3.M3 really is a drivers car and not much of snob value amongst public who may judge these cars only by the looks.
Here are some better pictures(source BMW).Not exactly a 2 door sedan

Well, that depends on what you mean by "better buy" doesn't it? Yes, the E92 M3 is too expensive here. Yes, you can get a base 911 for less and a GT-R for about 12-13% more.

I suppose it really depends on how much you plan on using the car. If it's only going to be used sparingly, maybe the 911 or the GT-R are better. If you're going to use the car regularly, I don't think either the 911 or GT-R compare to the E92 M3.

1. Ride quality nowhere near as good as M3 for the 911. Have not driven a GT-R but have heard that the ride is stiff and with 20" rims, I'm sure it is. So if you want to drive a car a couple of times a week, I guess you can live with a harsh ride, but if you run regularly that will get very tiring, very soon.

2. Service back-up. I've seen Porsches being "serviced" in hotel basements, at Ford dealerships and other unsavoury places. If you run a Porsche regularly and it needs work that has got to be a bad thing. As for the GT-R does Nissan India have any infrastructure to support this vehicle locally?

3. If you're not looking for the "look at me" factor, the M3 is perfect. It blends in quite nicely, so if you're an enthusiast and don't really care about attracting attention, but more about the driving, it's a better bet than either the 911 or the GT-R, both of which attract a lot of attention.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the 911 Turbo, it's the best car I've ever driven (even better than a Murcielago!), and I'm amazed by what Nissan has achieved with the GT-R, but as for being "better"...

By the way nice pics, that black M3 looks hot!

The M3 saloon? It is already out in the UK market. Been there for some time now.
