They should bring golf and polo hatchbacks. i'm sure the number of luxury-hatchback buyers will only increase considering their immense practicality. the boot-camp folks already have plenty of options (indigo CS, Dzire, etc.)

eeks!! i think the car is designed by some Moron designer. this car will sure be in DC or some other body kit manufacturers stable as soon as some person just by virtue of some other qualities buys it.

I think this car is in India for evaluation purposes. Looks like we will be getting the next gen Polo sedan (hopefully).

Diesel+Boot = Bulls eye in Indian market. German Lineage to top it. Who cares if it looks like mutant dog...

Yup, I do hope we get the new gen. This design looks terribly outdated for the premium image that VW is trying to project.

Does anyone think that it looks a lot like the erstwhile Fiat Petra, in Dhirajs' second picture?

Great looking car in hatch form. Bad rear. But it would still sell given our liking for german cars with good diesel engines

Looks very much dated. Would have tough competition even when priced right.

Will manufacturers please stop adding boots to nice looking hatchbacks and selling the resulting mutants in India. Most of these have got to be the ugliest cars ever made (eg. Swift Dzire, NHC, Jetta, Fiat Petra).

VW, give us Golf and Polo hatchbacks, and if you're really serious about India, you can give us the Scirocco as well.

End of Rant

Actually, IIRC , expensive hatch backs do not sell in India that well . Or at least that is what auto manufacturers believe .
